Chapter 224: Magic Spells

Tera recalled how her heart started to beat for her husband. She became a medical practitioner because of her line. Tera's family were known as the royal nurse in the Kingdom. She became passionate in travelling and was permitted to follow Cyrus, Ecles, Zayin and Resh. She was the sole woman on the team. She witnessed how Cyrus got wrecked and started his own journey. When Tera continued on the path. He is always with them but Tera never paid attention of the duke back then. Hessie was admirable back then. Just like Hexel his swordsmanship were next to no one.

Tera observed how he would always sit right next to Cyrus and Resh. Zayin and Ecles were always together. Tera was always seen side by side with Ecles that is why it shocked everyone when Tera married Hessie. People did not expect that they would end up together since Hessie was known as the insensitive duke and the nagging royal nurse.

Tera never dare to speak to Hessie before unless it was about a patient or something urgent. Tera later on involved herself in sword and Hessie became her trainer. Tera was awkward with him at first but when Hessie started to be transparent with her. Tera also watched herself fall in love and changed.

Tera would be frustrated from time to time because Hessie would not take initiatives. Tera would get impatient and wished that she can betray her feelings and heart but she is dumb enough to threw all her motives and clues toward the insensitive and tsundre duke. There were times that Tera tested him like being close with a stranger or with Elces and Resh but her plan would always fail because her subject of affection did not noticed all of her antics.

Not until one day, Tera got grievously wounded. Gatsby and Taw tried to aid her back then but it was not of help. Tera thought that she will die without dating the guy she dearly had a crush on but Hessie confessed in her risky situation. Tera thought that his confession will send her to the brink of death. Her heart got wild that almost ended her breath. Nonetheless she survived and married the man who is now sleeping beside her.

Tera recalled how her carriage almost fell. Her prayers saved her from the pit of death but the horse she saved furiously attacked her. It was thanks to that horse scream and yelling that caught her husband's attention. Hessie learned to be sweet to her. When Hessie recognized her wife's contour he instantly followed her through the cliff.

Tera recalled how worried he was. Hessie kept nagging her till they reached their chamber. Tera did not recall how her wound got cleansed but she is glad that her husband was reliable enough when it comes to first aid. Hessie learned the basics of medical assistance since he was always with Tera. Hessie opened his eyes to be face to face with Tera's evening beauty.

Hessi grinned and asked.

"How come your still awake while I slept like a log?"

Tera just giggled and replied.

"I just missed this times with you."

Hessie scoop his wife closer and teased her.

"Oh, really how about an overnight exercise. Since your injury is healing I bet you can manage."

Tera blushed at how her husband smirked at her face.

"Stop teasing. The kids are here."

Hessie leaned in to kissed his wife's shoulder blade and whispered.

"This already happened before and it worked."

Tera bashfully punch her husband on the chest. It was a flirty and childish but Tera really rooted this side of Hessie.

"But we are too old for this." Tera reasoned out.

"But, I am not too old for love." Hessie remarked as the night got speedly back from where their relationship started.

Ophir yawned before entering the throne. Lehi was acting up last night that made him doze off by dawn. Their task was to trace back the source of the infection. According to the duchess it was a man made disease. Ophir left the investigation to Kennan as he watched the library when he heared a rumour.

"It was strange the animals were acting strange but it was thanks to the free herbal injection of baron Rudu's wife."

A noble woman who was about to exit the library stated.

Ophir viewed the woman's posture. She had pink hair with elegant ornament and flaunty brown dress. Ophir politely called out.

"Can you please tell me more about that?"

The noble woman agreed and fill him in.

"Yes, it was about the animals being sick. When my fish got sick. She offered a generous amount. I talked and inquired about how did she got it and Rudu's wife said that her parents were an herbalist."

Ophir nod his head and followed up.

"Did you happen to know where they lived?"

The noble woman wrote the baron's address and fully left the vicinity.

Ophir waited for Kennan to arrive. When Ophir shared the information. Kennan also said the same thing.

Ophir went back to the palace and inform the King about what he acquired. Cyrus acknowledge his input and dismissed him for the day saying that they needed to halt the distribution of the medicine formulated by Hexel and Lehi.

Evi and Lehi were about to seal the boxes when Cyrus sent Mem about the halting of distribution.

"The King said that we need to observe the herbal medicine given by Rudu's household. The king has sent Ain and Lila to do the job. " Mem informed as he helped the two carry and organise the medicine.

Lila and Ain followed the direction given by the King. The two was surprised to have ventured in the market and found Baron Rudu's house by the valley.

It was a simple house with minimal employees. Lila and Ain walked through the gate and entered the cemented and stoned house. It was a vast house with traditional and historical house. The scent of foreign herbs have caused Ain's nose to sneeze.
