Chapter 121: Fringes of Outer Faint.

Natalina was aware of Cyprus frequent midnight escape and shopping. She would trail him from a distant and can't help but admire his back. She's been doing it for a year thankfully Cyprus never noticed it. Natalina even had an encounter with the Tale Bearers thrice but she choosed to conceal her presence. Natalina did not fathom why but she was committing more actions that is not herself. Her first response should have been to escape and run but her attachment toward Cyprus have grown. Part of her is ashamed to get back on the Kingdom mainly because of the title she bore.

"The most sought out bride."

"Incomparable Beauty."

"The Crafty Lady with Jewels."

"The late Queen's niece."

"The daughter of the Earl."

It was too much for her to handle. It's not because she does not have the choice but because she felt guilty.

Guilty for not returning earlier when she had the chance.

Guilty for hurting the people she love because she decided to conceal herself.

And most of all, guilty for falling in love with the man who was the cause of her aunt's death.

Natalina heared what the fortune teller have told Cyprus. Twins are inside her womb. There is life within her. A joyful tear well springed from her diamond eyes. Both of her hand automatically rub lovingly her belly. She knew and heared from the duchess that whoever will bear his child will surely die. Her heart did not loath the upcoming death upon her fringes. Rather she is glad for the blessing she recieved. She carefully get back and disposed her cape. She pretended to sleep and waited for Cyprus to arrive home. She purposely chained her wrist. Natalina was able to take note the enchant put by Cyprus.

She feel asleep and found Cyprus grilling some meat. He was carefully wrapping it with leafy vegetables and arranging it on the plate. His morning back soothed Natalina. She thought that he might commit a reckless decision from what he heared but surprisingly he is humming giddily.

Cyprus greeted her and let her have the food she requested. Cyprus stare at how she devour the meat. Natalina was unfolding the vegetables and was just consuming the grilled meet. Cyprus snatched the plate and took it away from her.

"Your supposed to eat the whole thing. Dont just chew the meat." Cyprus voice was just a little louder. He was startled to see Natalina's tears burst from her eyes. She started to sob and breath heavily. Cyprus fidgeted and returned the plate unto her lap. She started to eat with the vegetables while tearing up. Cyprus just apologized and wiped her face like a child. His heart started to beat greater rhythm than what he had with Evi nor Gardenia. This woman is not just his wife but also the mother of his twins. Cyprus knew how absurd it was for him to choose. This is the wish he was trying to fulfill. It's starting and he can't just end it. It his own fault for falling in love with this woman when it's not part of his plan.

Cyprus enchanted a liberty command to have Natalina's cage vanish and her chains evaporates.

"canario sceolde sprǣdan vāti."

[my canary should spread her wings.]

Natalina thanked him for letting her free. She can now move independently.

Natalina jump at him and embraced him tightly.

"It's okay, I will do my best not to die when I give birth."

Cyprus returned her warm embrace and wept. If only his heart can just be resetted. He would not have allowed it to be this in depth with hers.

Cyrus asked Tera if she had the sample of Kiel's blood. He ordered the duchess to put it unto a test if there blood matches. He can't keep blaming Kiel for everything when he is innocent. Tera knocked at his door. And informed of the result.

"Gardenia knew this situation will arise. So she advised me to preserve Kiel's blood. She knew that if ever you stumble upon her past. You will take this action. Don't fire me for doing this because she requested this."

Tera moved and waltz her way toward Cyrus who is sitting on the throne and slapped him on the face.

"Of course he is your son! Stupid husband!" Tera delivered imitating Gardenia's voice. Cyrus for the first time felt happy being slapped on the face. The Tale Bearers were shocked. Kiel dropped the file he was holding and Hexel almost losed all his strength. Nevi and Ophir supported him.

"What is the meaning of this?" Kiel asked above whisper and with tint of accusations.

Tera waved her hand and tried to explain.

"No, it's not like that. Of course Hexel is my son with my husband."

The Tale Bearers sighed in relief. Ain's question invited an awkward atmosphere.

"Then why do you need to test if he is your son?

Cyrus and Tera glanced at each other. Cyrus cleared his throat and informed them about Cyprus and Gardenia's love story. Kiel can now understand why his father was aloof.

"But I heared that uncle Cyprus was barren. So i never doubt. Aren't you aware of it father?"

Tera covered her mouth to suppressed her laughter. Cyrus scratch his head and replied shyly.

"I got caught with my own emotion. I am sorry."

Ophir asked Lehi on a date within the Palace Garden. Since they are not licenced to visit a town or just click a flat screen for reserve. Ophir put on the first clothes he had at their their first encounter. He prepared a simple picnic necessities. Lehi appeared wearing the same as him. It's been two years since they got married and started their lives in El Oathniel. Their date can be rated as boring from a bystander's point of view but for the two of them it's more than enough.

The night sky suddenly got dusted by lapis lazuli. Kenan appeared in front of them as he point out how sweet they were.

"I came to warn you about two things. Make sure to let Novena know about this. First, Her headhunter was already caught by me. Second the Harpsichord slayer are starting to move be more careful. They are a large organization.

Lastly tell her that I love her. You can forget the two but not the last one."
