I almost can’t believe it happened.
It did, I was there. But never in my wildest dreams.
Or, well, yes in my dreams, cause there too.
I guess it could be called a dream come true?
Either way, I know that was an experience I would never forget.
And one I wanted again, and again.
I hadn’t seen Maverick since then. He ran off into the night and I crawled into bed wondering, once again, what the hell my life has turned into.
Now, I was in my office, Angela working away. I would rather be back in his arms, his scent twisting around me, his body against mine.
“You’re drooling again.”
My jaw snapped shut, and I glared at Angela across the way. Her eyebrows raised as if she knows a secret.
She probably does.
“I was not drooling. I’m not a dog.”
She rolls her eyes, wearing a smirk.
Actually, while I have her attention.
“Angela, I need you to do something for me.”
Her fingers stop taping away, giving me her undivided attention.
“What would that be?”
