Frey was flying, no, she was jumping on every building top she stepped on. Or it will be more appropriate to say, she had managed to do the teleportation. After several times of trying she managed to figure out how it works. She just needs proper breath circulation in her mind and body. But doing the stuff is one of the hardest things Frey had ever done in her life.
"Uh-oh..." Her feet are about to slip from the steep of the high Company building. Her petite body swayed as her hand seemed to dance with the flow of air coming from the high area she was in.
"I'm almost there," she said as she managed to balance her body again.
"Great, this is fun." She even chuckled.
[HOST HAS TO BE CAREFUL WITH HER TELEPORTATION, SHE'S NOT THAT KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE NEW POWER.]
"Yes, I know don't worry. But can I use the Camera Lenses now? The ones we used before to locate the whereabouts of Eduardo's family?"
[HOST CANNOT USE THE CAMERA LENSES BECAUSE THEY ARE FOR ONE TIME ONLY. IF THE HOST REACHES LEVEL 5, CAMERA LENSES WILL BE AVAILABLE PERMANENTLY.]
Frey was stunned by that knowledge, she blew out an air from mouth making her little hair scattered on her face to flew. "Okay, don't you have anything to offer me?"
The System's buzzing sound popped up again in Frey's ears, then she said. [NOTHING. BECAUSE THE HOST'S AGENDA TODAY, IS NOT RELATED TO HER JOB BEING A GRIM REAPER. THE SYSTEM ONLY HELPS THE HOST'S ABOUT HER JOB DESCRIPTION AND HER MISSION. AND FOLLOWING HIS GOOD-FOR-NOTHING FIANCÉ IS NOT PART OF IT.]
"Good-for-nothing? What a harsh of you." Frey said, but the system's words make her think of it. She's reminiscing every detail she and Charles have. Did he not treat him well? Oh, of course not!
"Stop overthinking me okay? C'mon, let's go! Charles can't pass on me tonight. I need to know what's going on in his life." Frey didn't waste any more time, she focused and once again teleported up to the gigantic structures, following his fiancé's route.
Frey knowing nothing, the person his boyfriend fetched was her best friend Shamira. Her friend got wasted drinking at the Bar, she was condemning herself what happened the day she got into the accident. Shamira blames herself for not going with her on the day she and Charles were supposed to meet. She knows that she has not fully memorized the operation of the car engines. It was also the same year that she had learned to drive, she was traumatized by an accident she was involved in during high school. A car accident killed her older brother named Franco.
Charles took Shamira to her Condominium unit. The man let the girl rest, the pain caused to them by what happened to her lover was too much. After securing Shamira's condition, Charles went straight to the Hospital, where Celestine's comatose body was.
Meanwhile, Frey has already entered the Private Hospital where he follows Charles. She watched her boyfriend from the moment he got out of the grayish car until he entered the sliding entrance door.
'What is he going to do here?'
The urge on Frey's body guided her to follow Charles even more. She had entered the building easily. Her eyes focused on him as he talks to a nurse in the information area. Charles plastered a smile on his face and nodded to the lady in a white uniform.
Later on, the young man hurriedly entered the elevator and pressed the 15th floor.
'What's on the 15th floor? Who are you visiting?
Frey's confused eyes don't even think that her own body is what Charles is into. She just kept on eyeing his lover, she was mesmerized by his strong physique once more.
She missed him so much! Frey saddened heart produced fluid into her eyes down to her cheeks.
She was lonely and hurt.
They always dream of having a happy and big family. They had plans, so many of them that they only got ruined by a tragic accident. And now her, being trapped in the grim reaper's body.
'How are you? Are you doing well?' She mumbled while trying to reach for his face. Frey wanted to feel his presence and touch.
He longed to have him in her arms, kiss him and express herself even more.
Frey, who was clutching Charles' face stopped as the man got out of the elevator and proceeded on his way.
The cold air coming from the air conditioner greeted Frey upon entering Room 89. She can still feel it, just a little. A while ago, she had watched Charles change into a blue hospital gown and wear a protective mask. And now they are in front of someone, lying on a hospital mattress, an oxygen tank operating and there is a tickling sound from one of the monitors.
"Good evening, honey."
Frey got a knitted head when his fiancé called the patient on their front.
'That was our endearment.'
Frey recklessly got up on his feet and walked towards the unconscious body. To her surprise, she even got closer to the patient they were at. A naive laugh came out of her while gasping the other hand on her mouth.
'My body is still here, okay, so I was in a coma after all. That's why I can't go back.' An excitement flows on Frey's body, some percentage added to the hope she was keeping inside.
'Good. This was good news.' She shifted her gaze from her body to Charles sitting next to him. The boyfriend is holding his palm, caressing it.
"They say I should talk to you always, I know you can hear me. Please come back."
Frey was so touched by his fiancé's sweet words. She believed that Charles loves her so much since their high school days. They knew things about each other, their hobbies, favorite movies, and songs.
They were soulmates.
As soon as the handsome figure of Charles bids goodbye to her lying body, Frey decided to come out first. Thinking of any way she could to return to her body, she forgets the system attached to her. The System keeps on babbling about the mission, contract, and whatever. She just choose to keep her mouth shut, escaping from the hot seat.
"You look stressed."
"Yeah. I am, I was too exhausted. I need to figure out–" she cut off her words. Who the hell is talking to her? She was on her Grim Reaper status.
She quickly looked at the source of the muffled voice from behind her. She was so focused on the problems she was thinking about that she forgot that she was actually in the Hospital where many souls are wandering around. She was sure it was one of those.
And Frey wasn't wrong, there's a novice wearing faded denim pants and a white t-shirt in her side. He looks like a student in his appearance.
"What do you need?" Frey asked him arrogantly. Andreus taught him after the incident with Eduardo not to just send mercy for stray souls. She must be stronger than them to fear and respect her as a fetcher.
"Nothing, I just saw you." This is also a blunt answer to her face.
Frey bit her lower lip when he answered her in a blunt tone, so she threw another eye threat at him.
"Think firat before you answer, if you don't want me to send you to the boiling lava under the volcano." She's still threatening him making lies about the dangerous place, she hadn't been there so she doesn't know what it looks like.
The man just laughed and raised his eyebrows on the right side of his face. Frey didn't want to waste time on the young man who was bothering him, so she turned around and planned to go back to the room where Charles was still there.
"Can you finish the Quest he gave you?"
Frey's muscles froze when she heard what he said, he looked at the man cautiously and confronted him with what he said.
The two different creatures found themselves talking.
"I also had a system before that led me to what I am today."
She was then guided by the soul he met earlier in a Hospital room. But they just stayed outside, the room had a large window with glass from where they can view the patient lying just like Frey's comatosed body.
"So, what happened?" she asked him. Frey was suddenly relieved by the man's words about him. For the time being, he put aside Charles and just promised to come back some other time.
"I failed the Mission, that's why I ended being like this ."
He pointed at the patient lying inside the room. "I got trapped in that body, for almost two years, I think?"
Frey's heart beat fast than it's usual. She got chills from her back thinking of the same scenario that will happen to her if she failed to complete the Grim Reaper System.
She felt a sudden headache and bit her index finger as a result of her nervousness.
'That can't happen to me, I need to go back no matter what.' She was selflessly thinking not for herself, but for the people she cared about the most.
But on the other side. . . The dramatic presence of Charles looks like a fake entry. Before he leaves the room where Frey's body is, an evil smile lurks on his wicked face. His plans are working.
