Chapter 6: Bandits

"There are a lot of bandits outside of the kingdom nowadays, most of them using guns with reinforced magic crystals, while others rely on swords, knives, and even powerful scrolls," I pondered to myself. "I do need to experiment," I thought, feeling excited to test out the abilities of the so-called system. "Although I'm still traveling to the kingdom of Eldoria, a little detour won't hurt anybody," I said, trying to convince myself that it would be fine.

As I walked around, I spotted a few wild rabbits munching on leaves between some trees. Sneaking up behind them stealthily, I jumped, but they ran away so fast that I couldn't catch any of them. Feeling discouraged, I gave up and lay on the ground.

"I guess nothing has changed after all," I said sadly, wearing a frown on my face. I got up and continued my journey.

Eventually, hunger struck, and luckily, I spotted a few berry trees in the distance. I walked towards them as fast as I could. However, the berries had a strange brown color with tiny spikes sticking out, and I didn't trust them enough to risk eating them, so I decided to leave them be.

Being cautious of my surroundings decreased the chance of a surprise attack catching me off guard. But I couldn't shake off the idea of testing my newfound powers on animals. I kept my eyes peeled for small creatures that could serve as suitable testing subjects.

As I walked peacefully, I heard some rustling in the bushes a bit farther from me. Nervously, I walked towards it, hiding behind a nearby tree to figure out what kind of animal was making the noise. I waited there for a while until I accidentally stepped on a branch, causing a loud, crunchy sound. Suddenly, I heard a loud roar.

Feeling a rush of nerves, I tried to figure out what animal could roar that loudly. "Is it a bear? Or maybe a tiger? It could even be a lion," I asked myself. As it stood up, I saw its furry brown head and hands with sharp claws.

"It's a bear!!!" I screamed in fear, catching the attention of the creature. The bear spotted me and began chasing after me. I frantically started running as fast as my legs could carry me, desperately trying to outrun the dangerous beast.

In a stroke of luck, I had a brilliant idea to climb up a nearby tree. I quickly scrambled up the trunk, finding safety in the branches above. "Why haven't I thought of this sooner?" I asked myself, trying to catch my breath.

"You know what, this tree won't be that bad," I said, justifying my decision to take a break. I ended up sleeping in the tree for a few hours, only to be awoken by the warm rays of sunlight.

"How long was I sleeping here?" I questioned myself, feeling groggy. Realizing I hadn't eaten or drunk any water for a while, I decided to get up and search for a water source.

After walking for a while, I heard the sound of voices ahead. I hid behind some bushes, trying to remain unnoticed. There were quite a lot of people gathered together, drinking and selling drugs to one another.

"System, are they good people?" I thought to myself, hoping for some guidance.

[Can you put two and two together? They are selling drugs for God's sake. Do they seem like good people to you?] a voice replied, seemingly coming from the system itself.

"Well, you don't have to be that harsh towards me," I said, feeling a bit offended by the response. "System, is there a way I could beat them?" I asked, hopeful for a solution.

[Well, there is this thing called auto-battle. If you want to try it out, it allows the AI to do it for you. It's similar to a game concept, where it uses your body to its full potential], the system explained.

"You should have told me that earlier," I said, annoyed that the system had kept this information from me.

"Whatever, then. Do your thing. Become stronger, and don't disappoint us," the system stated.

Amidst the conversation, I heard a sudden sound of screaming. I turned my head to see what was happening, and a tall sword came flying towards me at an outrageous speed.

[Battle mode], the system activated. My consciousness went blank, and a new one took over. I effortlessly dodged the blade by jumping over a bush, which caused a crack and explosion as the sword made contact with the ground.

"Impressive, you were able to dodge that," a man emerged from the smoke, looking at me with admiration. He was tall, muscular, and wore a shiny grayish-colored protective armor.

The sword remained stuck in the ground, and it flew back towards me. Swiftly dodging to the side, I grabbed the sword's handle and pulled myself upward, propelling towards the man. Remarkably, the sword immediately returned to his hand.

With a mighty swing, the man sent the sword slashing through the air, creating a powerful shockwave.

[Using this body is a pain in the ass. So, let's engrave some mana into him.]

My body was hit with a surge of new energy from outer nowhere. Many different colored mana went right through my core replacing the old one with newer mana that surge through my body.

My eyes start turning white signaling that the system is fully in control.

It started to get use to my body, dodging the shockwave that the bandits created.

Body fell one by one, the scream and angony that they make was enjoyable. The smell of blood that linger through the air with a sensation that was indescribable.

The sky was painted red with blood flowing like river, bird flying away and the ground was smash and destroy, crater was made all around the area. The suction that my body extract was pleasurable.

After the system finished, all the bandits are lying on the ground lifeless.
