Is it wrong for a goddess to fall in love at first sight?

"Good evening you three. I am Rethusa the captain of Artemis Familia."

A group of girls arrived before Kai and the company.

Rethusa taking the lead introduces herself to the group of kids all alone in the wild.

Looking at the three kids before her she couldn't help but be astonished seeing that each one of them are precious on their own.

"They're so cute. I want to keep them

One of the beaten girls behind Rethusa and Artemis mumbled.

Artemis looked back and gave the girl who just talked a deadly glare shutting her up.

"This is my goddess, Artemis-sama." Rethusa introduces her goddess followed by Artemis giving Kai and the company a genuine gentle smile.

Haruhime pointed her finger at Artemis. "So she's the pervert goddess." She said in a serious expression.

Kai face palmed.

Sophia giggled.

The entirety of Artemis Familia is holding back their laughter.

Rethusa shrugged the back of her head. She has no excuse for her goddess's earlier transgression. Any sane person will have the same thought as Haruhime.

Right now Artemis wanted to dig a hole on the ground and bury herself in.

Yet in spite that the goddess is still shamelessly giving Kai some glances from time to time which didn't surprised the latter.

One might think that the goddess had fallen into depravity but Kai could tell that their was no other meaning from those glances she's giving him none other than pure interest.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I don't know what's had gotten into me to feel so attracted to him." Saying so Artemis pointed her finger at Kai.

She didn't make the effort to deny Haruhime's words.

She has her pride as a goddess although she's not as haughty as the other gods she didn't like the idea of lying to a mortal.

What's more, Artemis did not really like to lie so she decided it's better to be forthright at this point.

Currently Artemis set her sight on building a good impression to the kids before her, mostly towards the boy.

Although she didn't know why she fancy such a notion nevertheless she decide to follow her instinct.

Her conclusion was also reinforced by the strangely strong attractive force emanating from the boy before her, this attractive force tempting her to make a decision.

Feeling this force she can feel warmth, safe, rejuvenated and happy just by being near him.

Did she fall in love with the boy? Surprisingly such idea didn't made her angry like the usual reaction she has every time such subject is brought up by her Familia members.

Her subconscious is even supporting this strange and foreign feeling she just received.

I want to embrace the feeling.

She could also tell that she was charmed by the boy earlier nevertheless it wasn't on purpose. Moreover, it is more like her very being wanted to be charmed by the boy.

Currently, Artemis is feeling very conflicted on what to do?

This is the very first time she feels such attraction not just towards the opposite sex but to someone else as a being.

Her existence at sake.

Unable to decide Artemis reckon to just go with the flow and let fate do it's intended job. And if the boy before her is her destined Orion, at that time she wouldn't hesitate to chase after him. She'll be going for the offensive.

Thinking at this point Artemis's after a sort realization felt her face turning completely beet red and this was noticed by everyone.

Kai noticed the growing awkwardness in the atmosphere and decided to change it.

"Good evening lady Artemis I am Neon." Said Kai introducing himself to the blushing goddess before him.

The goddess Artemis couldn't put her finger in it.

She could tell that something isn't right.

She could vaguely tell that the boy before her is lying about something but at the same time not.

Kai decided to not freely advertise his True Name and decided to make use of the name the grandma that took care of him gave.

"Nice meeting you, Neon." Artemis extended her hand which Kai accepted.

'Soft yet rough, he/she is strong.'

Kai and Artemis thought at the same time.

They look at each other in the eyes trying to gauge each other's power.

The atmosphere suddenly turned tense and serious promoting everyone to look at the two.

And just as they were about to reach a certain point a voice interrupted them.

"As expected of Artemis-sama, she's very bold and direct." Lante unconsciously voiced out her thoughts.

All eyes were quickly drawn to her.

Lante realizing her mistake look at her goddess and seeing the scary smile her goddess is giving her Lante's hair stood on end, cold sweat running through her back.

'I'm done for.' Lante tremblingly thought in fright.

'She's screwed.' Her familia members thought at the same time.

'This idiot. She never learn.' Rethusa thought.

'She's more bold compared to her goddess.' Sophia thought in amusement.

'What's going on?' Haruhime was confused.

She did become a bit of an airhead at this point.

Kai and Artemis separated.

She immediately heads straight to a certain individual that needs some punishment.

She brought Lante quite far from the camp, nevertheless everyone could still hear the screams of pain and begging coming from Lante.

Kai and the others decided to ignore this as they continued on the introduction.

'Scary goddess.' Haruhime thought.

Some time later in the introductions Artemis and the beaten up Lante returned back and reunited with the group.

"You two are just right in time." Said Sophia and in her hand are a dozen or so freshly cooked expensive looking delicacies.

Everyone smells the marvelous aroma coming from the delicacies Sophia brought.

Artemis Familia members couldn't help but drool at the sight of the food before them.

The smell alone is enough to bewitch everyone.

Kai gave Sophia and Haruhime an approving look before manipulating the surrounding earth quickly creating a stone table.

The display of magic astonished Artemis Familia members and the Goddess Artemis.

She never once seen a mortal manipulate earth effortlessly the earth seemingly listening to Kai's command.

"How can something so delicious be allowed to exist." Lante praised as she hurriedly put every food her hand could reach into her mouth.

"I never once tasted something so delicious." Rethusa mumbled, her all so serious demeanor is nowhere to be seen as she began competing with Lante on who's able to eat the most.

The same can be said to the other members of the Artemis Familia.

They were like in an eating competition striving to be the champion.

Artemis at first reprimanded her Familia members to be mindful but as she too got a taste of the food Kai and company provided she immediately labeled it as divine.

It reminded her of the delicacies cooked by gods and goddesses of cooking.

As a goddess of hunt she too love to cook to have a better make out of her spoils but compared to the meal presented before them her cooking look mediocre that's it be embarrassing to be mentioned.

She let her Familia members transgression slide as this is the first time they taste such luxurious delicacies.

Looking to her left side where the master's table is at she could see Kai gently cutting a steaming hot steak into pieces.

The way he used the knife and ate it is brimming with elegance, and the same can be said to his companion she now knew as Sophia and Haruhime.

She suspected that Kai and the other two are at least a noble or a royalty of sorts.

Though she can confirm this if she asked them as it's impossible to lie to a goddess but she didn't want to be so pushy that they'll began to distance themselves from her.

For now she decided to just observe in silence.

"How are the three of you in this forest?" Did you not know it's dangerous?" Asked Lante out of curiosity.

"Dangerous?" Haruhime gave Lante a questioning look.

"The monsters in this forest is around level 1 to 2 it be dangerous for kids like you to be here all alone." Lante added.

Though everyone could tell that she is boasting about something.

Lante is just 11 years old yet she's already a level 2 not to say she's only hunting outside the dungeon city. And for her progress to be this good, she's definitely a genius. And it's natural for people who felt they are superior to boast about their power and achievements.

Furthermore, Lante had elven blood on her veins the most prideful race in this world.

But compared to the other elves Lante's pride is more like a natural thing that it is not sickening to be around her.

"Level 1 to 2?" Haruhime mumbled in confusion.

Kai shrugged the back of his head not knowing how Haruhime became an airhead.

He looks at Sophia beside him and the latter shamelessly looks to the side avoiding his gaze.

'What happened to my smart and thoughtful, Haruhime?'

Kai can only scream in indignation inwardly for what had become of Haruhime.

Nevertheless it's better than Haruhime becoming a sadist.

The current Haruhime is a far cry from her counterpart in the anime.

In terms of intellect and power she is one of the strongest mortals in this world.

Unfortunately, in exchange for her intellect and power was her common sense.

Kai can only blame a single person on this matter and it is no other than Sophia who fed Haruhime with all kinds of information some even exceeding this words standards.
