In the sky, Kiba drew Rebellion and took a deep breath.
"I can heal back. Take the pain," he muttered to himself.
With that, he stabbed himself, and the blade began changing his body. He gritted his teeth, holding back the pain.
His face turned red, veins popped out, and tears streamed down his face. But with each passing second, his body morphed into a more devilish form as the blade fused with him.
"Please work," Kiba muttered.
As the fusion and transformation completed, Kiba released a burst of aura and shouted, his voice vibrating, "Arghh!" His entire body was now in Devil Trigger Mode.
"It worked," Kiba smiled to himself. His Demonic Power reserves were instantly refilled, and his body brimmed with power. Even those nearby sensed the sudden burst of energy.
He dove down quickly, wielding a red sword construct of Demonic Power. His body glowed blue, with lightning crackling around him.
Meanwhile, Akeno hurled various kinds of magic at Grayfia: pure Demonic Energy, fire, water, earth, metal, wind, lightning—everything she could think of. But it was futile; the barrier blocked everything without a scratch.
Akeno, nearly exhausted, muttered, "Kiba-kun, I don't think I can hold out any longer," as she launched her final lightning bolt, which barely cracked the barrier.
'Should I use my other side?' A thought crossed her mind.
As Grayfia closed in on Akeno, a lightning strike suddenly landed right in front of her, and Kiba emerged from it.
"Thank you for holding on," Kiba said.
Both Grayfia and Akeno were confused by Kiba's new form. Wasting no time, Kiba attempted to slash Grayfia, but she caught the attack with two fingers and broke it apart.
She then created a ball of demonic energy and shot it at Kiba in retaliation. He quickly crossed his arms and reinforced his body, blocking the attack, but it pushed him back to Akeno's side.
Kiba noticed his demonic scales on his forearm were broken, revealing his normal skin beneath.
"What is that new form?" Grayfia asked.
"Something I created. It's called Devil Trigger," Kiba replied.
"Great, but it seems like you need more Demonic Power and concentration to stay in that form," Grayfia noted as Kiba suddenly detransformed.
"What?" Kiba was confused, realizing his Demonic Power was drained.
"That form you use is still incomplete and unstable for you," Grayfia observed. "It feels like it needs a few missing pieces."
'How did she analyze that so quickly?' Kiba wondered.
"We can stop the training session for today. Take some rest," Grayfia said, leaving Kiba and Akeno.
Kiba dropped to the floor, exhausted. 'I need to modify the sword's ability to generate more Demonic Energy; it's not enough for my usage.'
"Kiba-kun," Akeno called to him.
"Yeah," Kiba replied.
"Can you teach me that electric form?" Akeno asked.
"It's called Electrification, but sure, after I get some rest," Kiba said, lying down to take a nap. Akeno followed suit and also lay down on the ground.
A few minutes passed, and Kiba woke up to find himself resting on Akeno's lap as she caressed his hair.
She smiled at him and asked, "Did you get enough rest?"
"Well," Kiba said, "it's better than nothing."
"Kiba-kun, did you notice that some strands of your hair have turned white?" Akeno observed.
"I didn't notice at all," Kiba replied.
They stayed like that for about 20 more minutes until Akeno said, "Let's head to dinner. They must be waiting."
"Let's go, then," Kiba agreed.
The two of them headed to the dining room and saw Rias and the others already eating.
"Come here, sit and eat with us," Zeoticus invited.
Kiba sat down next to Koneko, with Akeno beside him. They started eating, but Kiba ate more and more food.
'I need the nutrients to get even stronger,' Kiba thought.
"Kiba, I hear from Grayfia that you have a transformation. I would like to see it after we eat," Sirzechs said, intrigued by the news.
"Okay," Kiba agreed.
Afterwards, Kiba and Sirzechs stood in the Colosseum. Kiba was surprised by the many craters around them.
"Thanks to you, Rias has started training seriously," Sirzechs said.
"I didn't do much. I only said what I needed," Kiba replied.
Sirzechs chuckled and said, "Show me the transformation."
Kiba released a burst of power, transforming into Devil Trigger mode.
"Fascinating," Sirzechs said. "If you like, I can teach you how to make that transformation usable in battle. It is unstable, to say the least."
"It would be my pleasure to learn from you, Sirzechs-sensei," Kiba said.
"We can start tomorrow. I will handle your training from now on," Sirzechs said with a smile.

Back in the Human World,
In the darkness, Kiba stood silently, observing Issei sleeping. He walked toward him and drew his Sacred Gear Stealer, activating its ability to pull the Sacred Gear from Issei's body. A green orb flew out of Issei, which Kiba took and absorbed into himself.
"Hmm, nothing happened," Kiba muttered.
[What do you mean, nothing happened?] a voice echoed in his mind.
[Ddraig, right?] Kiba asked for confirmation as he left Issei's house.
[Yes... you knew?] Ddraig sounded surprised.
[Of course. Why else would I steal an unknown person's Sacred Gear?] Kiba replied, flying away.
[So, what is your goal?] Ddraig inquired.
[To survive and grow stronger,] Kiba answered. [And with you, I can achieve that faster.]
[I hope you can show me what you can achieve, partner,] Ddraig said.
"You won't be disappointed," Kiba said, activating the Boosted Gear. A gauntlet appeared on his left hand in its initial form.
'Let's boost my Sword Birth,' Kiba thought as the process began.
"Boost!"
The creation process of Sword Birth accelerated.
"Boost!"
Kiba grinned, his smile stretching ear to ear. "Soon, I'll be the strongest."
The Pocket Dimension Sword was finally finished after the double boost.
Kiba then began upgrading the sword to gather Demonic Energy and transform it into a Demonic Power Generator, inspired by the androids from Dragon Ball Z.
This generator would create Demonic Power infinitely for Kiba.
He teleported back to his room and began his experiment, focusing on boosting his Sword Birth creation process.
"Looks like I'll be in my room for quite some time," Kiba muttered with a smile.
