A Sudden Problem, Part 2

Cain's pov

I totally nailed it.

Just like the internet said, watching a horror movie with your girlfriend will bring you both closer. And it's cool that I get to hug her the whole movie, though I ended up not understanding the movie because I was too distracted with Lynn in my arms the whole time.

I bet she'll love it even more when we get to the spicy food restaurant. I heard that many girls like to go to this kind of place these days, so maybe Lynn wants to go there too.

"You wait here, I'll order us the best food." I told her as I got her a table.

"O-Oh, sure…"

And after I bought the best selling ones on the menu, I thought Lynn would enjoy eating it. After a bite on the first food she grabbed, she covered her mouth and immediately got up from her seat. "L-Lynn?"

She ran to the comfort room and took a few minutes before coming back. "Uhm, are you alright?" I asked.

Her face got all sweaty and I can see her lips burning from the spiciness. Shit, maybe bringing her here is a wrong idea. "Y-Yeah, I'm just not kinda good with handling spicy food." Ah yeah, I really messed up.

"Oh, I didn't know. I'm sorry." I should've brought her to the usual place where we always have lunch at. "…do you want to eat somewhere else?"

"No, it's fine. It's good to experience new things, I never had anything like these before." She laughed.

"But if you can't handle the spicy food here, we can always go—"

"I told you it's fine. This place doesn't do refunds either, so let's not waste the food."

"Ah, right… okay."

Then the two of us focused on eating the food I ordered. Shit, I'm such an idiot. Even I can't handle the food here, what the hell was I thinking?! I noticed that she ate the least spicy ones, and only took little bites on the rest. And to think that she had to bear with the food I bought her for lunch, damn it. "I'm really sorry, Lynn." I told her.

She smiled after wiping her red lips. "It's really fine, Cain. It was kinda good and tasty, so you don't have to be worried about me not liking it."

"Yeah, I'll definitely look for a better place next time." I sighed. I'll have to remember to never come back to this place.

After we finished lunch, we headed to the Rock Garden Museum. It's a place that has a lot of sculptures of the most beautiful flowers. I hope I don't mess up this time. "What do you think?" I asked her as we arrived.

Seeing her expression, I can tell that she's in awe. "This place is very pretty." It made me smile to hear that she likes it. Right, things are going back on the right track. I may have disappointed her with lunch, but I'll make sure to make the rest of the day very perfect as possible.

When we walked right into the museum, Lynn had her eyes all over the place. I can't blame her for being too distracted here, this place is filled with the most beautiful things you can see after all. But the most beautiful thing I can see here is the girl walking by my side. "Wanna take some pictures?" I suggested.

"Pictures? Right, yeah! Let's take a lot!"

We first stood beside a sculpture of lilies, and as I'm about to take the photo, Lynn suddenly got down on her knees while holding her stomach. "Lynn?! Are you alright?!"

"Err... damn chili sauce..." I can't hear what she was saying until she stood again and excused herself. "Sorry, I... I need to go to the restroom first."

"O-Oh, I'll be waiting here." Then I was left alone with the Lily sculpture. "Fuck..." I guess this first date with Lynn didn't go as planned. This sucks.

I was hoping to make the most memorable memories for our first date, but things aren't going as I planned. Well, it's not like everything always goes as planned. And our date isn't ending just yet, we still have a lot of time to make up for earlier. "Yeah, I can still make this day memorable."

A few minutes later, she came back with a flushed face. "I'm sorry, did you wait long?'

"Nah, it's not problem." I chuckled.

"Geez, can't believe I took a shit on our first date." I can't clearly hear what she mumbled, so I leaned closer and asked. "What were you saying?"

"I mean! I'm really sorry for suddenly leaving you."

"Really, it's no big deal. How about we just take the picture earlier?" Now we're finally getting back on the track. "Ah yeah, let's—" and then her phone rang, damn it. There's a lot of things getting in my way.

Lynn took out her phone and got surprised when she saw the screen. "Ket—shit. Cain, I gotta take this call first." And then she ran off again.

Fuck, this has got to be one of my worst days.
