An Hao held him tightly around his waist, her head resting against his chest, her eyes brimming with tears as she said, "It's all your fault!"
"It's all my fault, I arrived too late," Qin Jian's heart ached as he gently stroked An Hao's hair, soothing her frightened heart.
"It's all your fault for being so good-looking as a man. Everyone is after you!" An Hao looked up at him with a grievance, "Your charm always disturbs my peace."
"Sorry! Should I make myself look uglier?" Qin Jian joked, pulling out a dagger from his military belt with a swoosh and gesturing at his own face.
"What are you doing?!!" An Hao was startled, quickly clutching at his wrist without letting go, "You're going to disfigure yourself!"
"Aren't you complaining that I'm too handsome?" Qin Jian looked down at her, a doting smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "If I make my face uglier, wouldn't that mean no one else will be interested in me?"
