Chapter 37 The Visit

Fan Xi's eyes lit up bit by bit. The gown was a pastel blue long dress with an off-shoulder design and a high waist. It looked much looser.

Ye Fan saw that she liked it, so he took Fan Le over attentively. "I hold the baby. Go and try it on. If something does not fit, you can still take it out and change it."

Fan Xi smiled and took the dressed to the bathroom.

When she went out again, Jiang Hong was already in the room. Fan Xi's smile suddenly stopped.

"It seems that you do not care much about that worthless thing. You go back and can't wait to try on that torn dress. You don't even look at your owned figure."

Fan Xi had not thought fat meant ugly. Not to mention that the Liu family intended to send her a custom dress. It looked thin and covered her abdominal flab. Fan Xi pondered it in the bathroom before leaving.

She said, "Are you not upset because they have not prepared a dress for you, right? Didn't you see how old you were? Are you really wearing it out?"

Fan Xi went their way to handle Jiang Hong. Her opponent's ways should be used to dislike them instead of arguing.

"You!" Jiang Hong glared at Fan Xi. "I am still your mother-in-law! How dare you disrespect elders! I am showing the neighbors how you address your mother-in-law tomorrow!"

"Okay. Let them know what a grandmother you are. You abandon your granddaughter at home."

In comparison, Fan Xi appeared to be much calmer. She looked down at her gown and suddenly was in a good mood again.

Ye Fan immediately put Fan Le down. He took each baby from Jiang Hong to the bed. He pushed Jiang Hong out through her confused and dazed eyes, "Mom, it is late, so go to bed quickly."

Ye Fan shoved Jiang Hong out of the room before she could speak. He closed the door smoothly. Jiang Hong could only knock after reacting. "Open the door, Ye Fan! I am not done speaking!"

Ye Fan held his forehead, knowing that Jiang Hong would only convince Fan Xi to get more money and divorce him quickly.

He smiled at Fan Xi and ignored Jiang Hong's words. "Fan Xi, this dress suits you. It is beautiful at the wedding, like any other bridesmaid!"

Fan Xi smiled. A girl would lie if she didn't like compliments. Though she knew Liu Su did this, she wanted her wedding makeup to be perfect.

Maybe Jiang Hong knocked on the door for a while, but Ye Fan didn't answer. When she realized that, she got bored and left.

There was no sound outside. Fan Xi removed her dress and said, "This dress is pretty expensive. Liu's family seems generous as they marry their daughter."

"Liu Su had always favored at home. This is very normal," Ye Fan said. "Are you hungry after not eating for so long? Like last time, I'll make you egg noodles after Mom sleeps."

Fan Xi wanted to say she was full from Jiang Hong's anger, but her stomach growled, so she could only smile awkwardly. "Okay."

Fan Xi organized her purchases and started making them from the simplest while Ye Fan cooked the noodles.

The next morning, Liu Yun and Liu Su came to the door.

When Liu Su saw Fan Xi, she was as happy as she had seen her sister. Lovingly taking Fan Xi's hand, she said, "Your method is useful. I use aloe vera gel on my face daily, fading some of my more noticeable acne scars."

Liu Su touched her face, unable to hide her happiness. "Will my facial acne scars disappear if I continue for six weeks? I am pretty even if I can hide the birthmark by then."

Fan Xi smiled. Aloe vera gel worked best on acne-prone skin when first used. As the skin becomes tolerant, aloe vera gel's effect decreases.

It didn't matter. On the day of Liu Su's wedding, her skin should be better than the previous two days.

"This is great, but you should switch acne products after your wedding. Aloe vera gel loses effectiveness otherwise." Fan Xi paused and was honest.
