I learned that the boy from earlier, His name is Fox, he’s cute, has a mysterious vibe about him, and doesn’t have a great relationship with his family, spending most of his time with Domino’s. He also has natural curly hair but straightens it.

Kai, Domino’s best friend, shows up in his car. An old beat up car that was apparently passed down from generation to generation. That had to be a lie…

I’ve only met Kai a few times since he hangs out with Domino a lot. He would sometimes tease me or just flat out ignore me.

The four of us drive to a nearby movie theater. “Four Square?!” Kai yells, “you got to be kidding me?! That’s a lame movie,”

“How would you know??” Fox glared at Kai, “have you seen it?” as we exit the car.

“No, but from the trailers, it looks stupid,” Kai says turning away closing his door.

“Ok okay, let’s just play at the arcade while we decide,” Domino ushers everyone inside.

Making my heart flutter, I watch as Domino calms everyone down. With his dashing smile and with the way he leads the group in confidence. Ahhhhhh…. Husband material…. Dreamy….

“Stop drooling and let’s go,” Kai yells from the entrance

“Fuck you,” I yell back keeping my hands at my cheeks to hide the embarrassment. I look up to see Domino, who just gave a light chuckle. Fuck…. Skipping school was worth it!

Kai, who was watching the whole thing, just stood in silence watching the weirdness just pass. “What the fuck? Did I just watch,” He whispers.

But a flame of mischief sparked in him. “Hmmmm…” he mutters, placing his hand over his mouth to contain the smirk. “Good luck ignoring me now,” He jogs over to the group to not be left behind. But not taking his eyes off Alease.

After a full hour of playing games and arguing about which movie to see. We finally came to a conclusion and the vote landed on ‘Monsters in Disguise’

But that wasn’t my problem or why I would be upset. Butt face Kai sat in between me and Domino. After Domino offered the seat to me!

Now I have to sit next to Kai and Fox. I mean Fox isn't bad but KAI IS!!

“Heyyy.. pass this to Fox,” Kai hands me a soda cup.

I slowly turn to the left where Fox is seated. Once I make a complete turn without spilling anything, I call out to Fox who is engrossed in the movie.

I try calling his name one more time but this time a little louder. “Fox!” That second the movie happened to enter a quiet moment leaving my voice being the only thing everyone hears.

My face rushes with blush blocking everything else. I shut down.

Kai next to me laughs and Domino hitting him to “Shut up,”

While Fox quickly takes the cup out of my hands as if to pity me.

Like!!! If you haven’t been sooo focused on the movie I wouldn’t have to be like this.

Closing my eyes to calm my nerves, listening to the screams in the movie and feeling Kai constantly poke my arm.

“What do you want?!” I angryly whisper, glaring into his eyes like ‘bitch say something stupid and I might rip your head off’

“Are you okay?” Kai lowers his head as if to hide. I instinctively follow suit

“What?!” I whispered this time paying extra attention to the movie to not make the same mistake twice.

Kai frowns and creeps closer, “do you need to step out? We won’t get mad or anything,” Kai pauses but the movie theater being dark I can’t make out his expressions. “If you need anything…”

His sentence gets cut off by the roaring of the monster coming on the screen. All I could make out was him moving away from me.

I turn back towards the movie not understanding what happened or what’s happening on the screen. I just sat there stuck and confused.

It was just weird of him being… maybe, nice? I don't know what it was.

Once the movie ends, we all head back to school with only one class left before we go home. Kai parks the car and they slowly get out of the car talking and laughing about the movie. It was very different hanging out with them versus hearing about them. Plus they treated me like they knew me for years.

Wind gusts pass us, strands of hair fly in my face. I giggle thinking how fun it was and I would love to do it again but…

I brush the strands behind my ear. How do I say… Hey, can I join again? Like this was an accident and maybe the second time around would not be fun.

“Next week, we have that field trip,” Kai says swinging his arm around my shoulders.

As if waking me up from dreaming I brush his arm off of me, “And???”

“Hey,” Fox taps my elbow, “We go in, in the back,” he gestures around the school.

“Oh, Thank you,” I jog over to where they are walking.

“But I don’t wannna gooooo,” Kai whines leaning on Domino this time.

What an annoying person. Glaring at Kai and crossing my arms. But to my surprise, Kai makes eye contact with me and smiles.

Eyes wide open, WHAT THE FUCK!!! He’s doing this on purpose?! WTF… WHY!!!

Does he also like Domino and is trying to warn me to back off?

I start feeling warm, I look up to only see clouds… grey clouds. This is fucking embarrassing, am I suppose to give up?

I lift my hands in distress, bro I haven’t even got started.

My hands drop to my side making a heavy noise. Domino and the others turn towards me. “Are you okay?” Domino stops to wait for me.

I quickly glance at Kai, who is watching me with a smirk. I shift my gaze back at Domino.

What did that mean? Is he making fun of me because I don’t have a chance? What do I do from here? Do I continue to go, maybe pretend to not see Domino?

I stop a foot away from domino. I subconsciously watch Domino’s face turn from confused to worried.

Wait why do I have to be imitated by Kai, I hardly know him. I don’t owe him anything.

“Kai leave her alone,” Domino try’s to move Kai away

Why do I need to back down, when did I become a chicken!

“Hey… Buttface!!” Kai says yelling in my face

Who does Kai think he is! He’s not even good looking! Did he go back in time for being seconds from death? No! I did, I’m not scared of him.

A pair of hands hold my shoulders, I look up but I instantly get shaken.

“Kai!! Seriously stop,”

“WHAT THE FUCK?!” I scream, kicking Kai away.

A burst of laughter comes out of Kai, “sorry but what were you thinking about so hard that you forgot to walk?” Kai slaps his knee like he made a joke.

“What are you talking about,” I say getting ready to punch Kai in the face if he says something stupid.

Luckily Domino grabbed my wrist and escorted me away from Kai, with Fox quietly following.

“Hey wait!! I’m sor…” Kai continues to laugh, “rrryyyy,” tears roll down his face as he laughs harder.

“Fucking jokester,” I muttered under my breath.

Once a little further away from Kai, Domino softened his grip. “Sorry,” He looks down at my wrist.

Blushing, I turned away making eye contact with Fox. Who happens to have very beautiful eyes. I stare a little too long. Fox coughs before walking away.

“Are you okay?” Domino tries to make eye contact with me but it’s too embarrassing to look up at him.

“If you don’t want to hang out with us anymore it’s fine. I of all people know how annoying and spoiled Kai is,” Domino rolls his eyes, “But you don’t have to put up with that,”

Domino then says goodbye before walking back to Kai, who is now a few feet behind us kicking rocks.

Turning back to the back door, Domino led me too. I smile before pushing the door open
