The soldiers snapped out of their reverie and started hunting down the badly wounded Anne and the exhausted Sera across the open field. They didn't have the time to process the events that transcurred in front of their eyes, but that didn't make their duty any less important.

They had to follow the chain of command.

Ryu was now being chased by the paladin, the priestess and the captain.

"You coward! Aren't you a man? turn back and face us!"

The captain yelled to the top of his lungs. His words reached the young F rank adventurer, but he wasn't embarrassed in the slightest.

So far he's been doing his best to avoid any sort of conflict. Not only because of his peaceful nature, but also because he was too used to being the weakest among everyone. Even now, after his new found strength, his health points were still lower than the average which meant he could fight for a limited period of time.
