The Mad Wolf shows off its power

Kai Syaoran held the lightning bolt as though it was nothing. It thrashed around as though it had a consciousness of its own but when faced with Kai Syaoran's power, it seemed like a child throwing a tantrum.

The skies became even more crimson and thunder rumbled.

All eyes were on the demonic beast that had just shown up.

They all easily recognized it as the Mad Wolf that the senate was hunting. A few weeks ago, this very beast had caused a calamity in the Grand Ocean kingdom. The calamity was so profound that its consequences were still being debated by the scholars of the world.

Kai Syaoran did not pay any attention to the people watching him as he just continued looking at Ran Lan.

He did not know why he had gotten so emotional from just seeing her but he did not hate this feeling even though he knew that love was a hindrance to true power.
