"I mean, why do i need 2,000 experience points to level up to a high-rank accolyte mage!" When Link saw his status information, his first reaction was not joy, but shock.

It only takes 300 experience points to level up from a low-rank accolyte mage to a mid-rank accolyte mage, but now to level up from a mid-rank to a high-rank accolyte mage, the experience points I need has increased by seven times.

This mean that he if relied on only meditation to level up, he would only level up to a high-rank accolyte mage right before the academy examination.

This level would be too low to get the top spot in the 3rd district. Because in the eyes of the outside world, his affinity is only a D-rank fire elemental affinity. If there is another high-rank accolyte mage with an affinity at C-rank or higher that mage would get the spot.

Link had no doubt that the teachers of the Mage Academy would choose the other students first, unless he exposes his true affinities but he would not."No, rather then relying on meditation alone to improve my level, I have to go outside the city to see if I can gain experience by killing beasts" Link thought and made a decision. Although the system did not tell him if he could gain experience points by killing beast, he had a feeling. But before that, he would to practice his magic spells. Thinking of this, Link set his goal to learn the wind blade magic that Edward showed him.

In his room, Link frowned, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead. In front of him was a cyan coloured six-pointed magic circle hovering, surrounded by wind mana, which was almost completed.

"Almost there" Link suddenly let out a roar, and then, the magic circle that had the last remaining piece of the circle that had not been completed was suddenly done, the circle glowed brightly. "Finally" Seeing this, Link shouted happily. He has tried to do more than ten times, and all the previous ones had failed.

This is the twelfth time. It took him more than two hours to successfully draw the magic circle of Wind Blade spell, with this he had finally learned the wind blade spell. "Buzz" There was a soft sound, and the cyan magic circle in front of him gradually shrank, and entered trough the middle of his eyebrows, and into his spiritual world.

Link also felt something appear in his mind at this moment, and then, with a thought, he waved his hand, and the magic circle appeared in front of him.

"Wind Blade" With a buzz, the surrounding wind mana quickly condensed, and in less than a second, three crescent-like wind blades condensed in front of the magic circle.

Immediately afterwards, the three wind blades shot forward from infront of him with an extremely fast speed.

Three sharp sounds were made as the spell impacted the target leaving three deep marks carved by the wind blade on the cement wall in his bedroom even the steel bars inside were exposed.

Not only that, there are even steel bars that were cut in half by Link's wind blades. And with the release of his three wind blades, the magic circle in front of him also vanished. Link suddenly felt a slight sense of powerlessness.

"What a powerful spell" This is just the most common wind spell, and it actually damaged the wall like this"

Stepping forward and looking at the three cuts in the wall, he was speechless. If this hits a person, the a normal person will be killed immediately.

"But I only cast the wind blade spell once, and it seems that one-tenth of my mana had been used. And the reason why he can only cast it eight times is because it is not good to use all his mana at once, otherwise, if he faces danger, the without any Mana he would be defenseless.

"However, eight times should be enough. My next step is to ask the school for leave and prepare the items to leave for the wilderness."Link said In excitement.

But before he asks for leave he will have to buy some things necessary fot his survival in the wilderness. Looking at the clock hanging on the wall, he seen that it was almost time for school, Link had no plans to rest, and walked towards the door, leaving the three deep cuts on the wall of the room.

If anyone was told that Link had mastered the wind blade spell in just two hours without any teacher's guidance, they would definitely be shocked, and if they knew that he can cast the wind blade spell ten times, when he has just leveled up to a mid-rank accolyte mage, he would be seen as a monster.

Because a regular wind magician, can at most cast the wind blade spell twice, consuming all their mana whilst being a mid-rank accolyte mage.
