As they made their way down the hallways of the palace, she noticed that Xania was lost in his thoughts and her brows furrowed, wondering what he was thinking about at the time that had him so distracted, since the time she met him, until then, she had never seen him that way before and it concerned her a bit, though she did not know whether she should ask what it was that had him so on edge.
She approached Luca and Kei and both of them looked at her and Kei smiled as he approached her and took a good look at her, to see if she was alright, after what happened the day before.
"Stop wasting time, just look," Luca said as he placed his finger under her chin and tilted her head up a bit and she blinked as she looked at him and Kei chuckled as Luca's brows furrowed in annoyance.
"See... She is perfectly fine now... Though questions keep building up in my mind, but I have a feeling she won't be giving me any answers at least not willingly," Luca added and Violet's eyes narrowed as she looked him directly in his eyes.
"That's because I do not owe anyone any sort of explanation so do not start acting like you suddenly care darling," She said and his eyes widened a bit, and then he pulled back and scoffed in disbelief.
"Looks like you are completely fine now alright, your sharp tongue is back, ignore him, I am glad you are okay Violet, especially after what happened there yesterday and you suddenly acting strange and passed out, you had me worried there for a bit, I have to say, more than worried," Kei said and Violet glanced at him and she smiled a bit.
"Ah, I am sorry for causing you trouble Kei... I probably was just trying to get used to my abilities, it was just a side effect, later on, it will be better, but thank you, for all of your help yesterday, I really appreciate it," She replied and he could not help but smile brightly and Luca rolled his eyes, unamused.
"You are welcome, I will look out for you, just so you know, I want things to change around her, you know what I mean," He said and she lowered her gaze a bit, since she understood what he wanted and he was not the only one.
"Yeah, I know and maybe someday, things will change for the better, and it will be exactly like that, though it will not change out of the blue, everyone has to make an effort but if they do not, it will always remain the same," She replied and he chuckled then nodded.
"Yeah, you are right and I know that very well now, I intend to take my title a bit more seriously now than I ever did before, even though I can feel as well as see that a lot of things around us, are changing and that too, at a drastic rate," He said and Violet nodded in agreement with him.
"Alright, I get what you both are saying and what not but you two seem to be forgetting that we have someplace to be and if we do not hurry up, we will end up being late so leave the talk for later and let's go now before I drag you two by your hair," Luca said, firmly and they exchanged glances, wondering what happened to him.
"Fine, fine, we get it, cool down, damn, there is no need to feel so riled up," Kei replied and Violet scoffed as she looked at him and her eyes narrowed as she walked away and headed into the carriage, after which they joined.
"You being a bright now sis?" Luca asked, mockingly and her eyes narrowed as the carriage took off, heading in the direction of the academy and her eyes shimmered slightly red as small red flames formed beneath Luca's feet.
Kei sniffed the air as he caught onto the scent of something burnt and his eyes narrowed as he looked at Violet, who had a mischievous gleam in her eyes and he smirked, pretending to not see what was going on, since he knew that his brother deserved every bit of it for being a self-absorbed prick.
Luca's brows furrowed as he felt a slight burning sensation at his feet and just as he peeked, her flames shot up in a dragon form, causing him to be startled, he jumped up and his head hit the top of the carriage a bit and Kei burst out laughing.
Violet smirked and the flames disappeared as Luca rubbed his head and he looked at it then at her and Kei, with a slight glare in his eyes as he sat back down.
"Seriously? Mature... Real mature," He muttered under his breath, in annoyance.
"Oh, you had that coming a long time ago... It was hilarious and a moment I will not let you forget for years to come," Kei commented and Luca almost let out a growl of frustration at him, but took a deep breath and composed himself.
Violet chuckled lightly, knowing he had no comeback to what Kei said and she looked out the window at the beautiful sceneries the carriage passed by, which made her feel slightly relaxed, but it was only for a short while, since she noticed Xania was still pensive and it bothered her a bit, wondering what was bothering him to the point, it occupied his mind completely.
She wanted to speak with him, but she could not since the others were there, and it would make her look like a crazy person, talking in thin air.
A little while after, they arrived at the academy, at the same time as a few other participants and headed to their sections, which were going to be separate, since everyone had different schedule and they split up for the time being, going to their respective areas to start the day off, for there were a few lessons that needed to be done, before the actual battle among the participants could begin for the rise to the top.
