A new chance - V

"The Presence" collects Conner's spirit and with him in his hands he approaches the dimensional gap that separates the different multiverses, then in a calm voice he speaks towards a specific multiverse:

"Ancient goddess, I have a proposal that I believe may interest you a lot".

It doesn't take long and a reaction was seen in the barrier. In the place where "The Presence" is, a point appears, the point expands forming an ellipse, then a new existence is revealed, the old goddess materializes and says:

"Oh, was it a long time ago that we had a talk? You are not the type to get involved in the affairs of other multiverses, so I'm curious, what fascinating proposal, and what do you have for me? Be brief because I was very busy".

Going back a bit in time, at the same time as Conner's last words, in the multiverse of the newly arrived goddess, in one of the versions of the planet earth of that multiverse. A man on a snowy night, barefooted in a temple, has already repeated the same words hundreds of times:

{Hikaru}: Please! Please make sure! Please make sure that my unborn child will be delivered safely!

On a freezing, cold and snowy night, the man had already bowed his head and prayed over and over while facing the main hall of the shrine.

{Hikaru}: I don't care how much of my life you take! It's fine even if my remaining lifespan is halved! So please, I definitely need it! Protect the child in the womb! Please! I beg of you!

Even if his feet were so cold that they became numb, that man still continued to bow and offer his prayer to the gods. That man, who prayed to the gods…only, wished that the child in the womb of his wife would be safe.

{Loli Goddess}: On that day, I decided to check the balance between parallel universes (in my domain). I didn't think I would find something so rare, a simple and fragile human existence, making such a sincere prayer, without hypocrisy, flattery or mechanical expressions , something very rare nowadays. This man is begging for his family, wife and unborn child, even offering his life, truly a demonstration of courage and love.

That man continued his prayer under those conditions until he lost consciousness, admirable willpower, but unfortunately none of the "gods" and "goddesses" of that world paid attention to the man, too busy with their own ambitions and conflicts. This man he would be like many others just one more of those who asked for help every day only to be ignored completely, if at that very moment he had not attracted the attention of that ancient goddess. Hikaru don't know his prayers will result in a future wave of events that will change the balance of the supernatural world of that planet.

{Loli Goddess}; I usually don't get involved in the problems of life forms in their worlds, but the apathy and hypocrisy of these gods and goddesses irritates me. What can I do to knock them off the pedestal they put themselves, and at the same time "help" this human?

The ancient goddess began to think about possible options, until she heard a distant call from an old acquaintance.
