Rangi's attacker was so lost in thought over him somehow managed to not only find a relic, awaken it, and also be using it to fight them off all at the same time.

Thus a result of all the thoughts and theories that were running through their head at the moment given that just how strange they found this scenario they were in to be. They did not realize what happened next until their own weapon was raised in front of their face. Managing to block another blow but not enough to prevent them from being pushed back in the process. Though the attacker then found themselves on the ground as their legs were kicked out from under them. A crater then was formed where their head had been moments earlier caused by Rangi's gauntlets.

Unable to fully regain themselves and their standing in this fight anymore. Their only option was to flee themselves and run away though the cause was not because of Rangi and his relic. Even though he seemed to be able to use it at a decent level it seems that he either did not know how to use their ability or was not doing it for some reason. That his attacks were landing because the attacker was being caught off guard so focusing could have caused a different outcome. However, that first blow caught them completely off guard and managed to score a massively critical hit on them.

Another reason was that they realized the area that they were in at the moment. Realizing this they had to report it right away. This was a direct order from their superior to do so if something like that place was discovered (the attacker also glimpsed the hole in the ground and guess that was where Rangi got his relic).

So they managed to distract Rangi long enough to run away to give their report to their superior. This order that came up now was considered a higher priority than the one dealing with just Rangi, imsel

'That could not have been enough to get them to run away' Rangi thought as he watched his attack leave all of sudden.

Aware of the difference in their ability as well as their experience this causes Rangi to run also. He was not sure where he was going but he just knew that he had to get away from this place as quickly as possible. The idea was that his attacker was not running away but merely going somewhere to merely readjust their plan of attack. The idea of even getting back up to ensure that they finished the job this time around was a possibility since his gaining the gauntlet he now had was not something that his attacker thought would have happened.

Before he knew Rangi found himself dozen of miles away from his previous location where he came across the gauntlet that he used to make his attacker rethink and continue coming after him restlessly formerly. After this, he just collapsed as he was utterly exhausted having used up all his energy along with the power that was flowing through him no longer do so either.

Having passed out from a combination of exhaust and that power he felt flowing from the relic on his arms. Rangi was lying in the middle of a forest area that he eventually managed to run to to not get attacked yet again. Though he did not have to worry about another person attacking him there was still the fact that he was lying in the middle of the forest so there were attacks possible from the wildlife or even random act of nature itself happening.

It was at this moment that the gauntlets on Rangi's arm transformed from a pair of weapons into two identical girls. These girls resembled the statues that the gauntlets were storied in yet this time they were different, being a relic. These two girls were the embodiment of the gauntlets themselves. After all, relics were sentient weapons that possessed their own souls that could manifest into a human form. The two were holding hands as they looked over Rangi as he was lying on the ground. The only part of them that was different from when they were stored within their statues. Each of them had one arm that was ended in the form of their true gauntlet form.

"Owner? That is not an advisable place to recharge" the two of them said simultaneously.

Though it was pointless as Rangi was not getting up anytime soon as just continued to lie there.

"Protection of the owner and scouting the area for threat," they said

The girl representing the right gauntlet then got down on her knee and gave her owner a lap pillow to watch over them. While the one representing the left gauntlet was looking around the general area to ensure that there were no threats to they needed to be aware of. Being a dual type relic they had two bodies to control at once to go search the area while the other stayed behind with their owner. It required forcing one of the bodies to search while the other was left behind with the only awareness being if anything got too close to their owner. They would move to defend him as best they could. Otherwise, the body was remaining motionless and unmoving as Rangi was being given the lap pillow treatment.
