Ep. 10

And so, Summer break ended. I feel like I already said this.

These two months (roughly) were pretty nice to wind down. I have focused too much on training my magic and combat styles, though it is interesting to see the progress in my interface. Speaking of which, let me check it a moment.

Ok, so it became a little more organized now. Some of my previous Abilities improved, which is always good. Better battle instincts can't ever be a bad thing. I mastered Hecate's Grimoire, which is good. I became a Grandmaster with blunt weapons and swords, which is fantastic. As I expected, learning another style of spearsmanship helped me breakthrough: Demi-God level spearsmanship and a Master of God-slaying Spear Arts. Perfect. I can also view my familiars, which is nice. I want to see what the difference between the Blood and Vampiric prefix is. Further research is required.

Probably, the best news is that I gained a Noble Phantasm. More like, I am in the process of gaining. It must be something conceptual, probably. I am a Vampire hybrid, so it might be something related to that. Or maybe it's reality manipulation due to Subjective Reality… Who knows?

I am satisfied with my progress for now. I wish to visit another world where I can gain even more power, but that will have to wait. I kinda wanted to get a Saint Graph with a Class, since that would give me a good boost in power. Since I am still alive, I could continue to get stronger without being limited by the nature of Servants. Oh well, I will continue to consume Heroic Spirit essence to hopefully form my Noble Phantasm faster and gain a Saint Graph.

I was still on the uninhabited island with Mother, but it was about time for me to get on the Hogwarts express. Oh, by the way, I should mention that puberty hit me like a truck: the muscles which were barely defined even after all of my exercise became sculpted and chiseled, I became higher, much higher, at about a head taller than other 12 year olds at almost 165 cm, my eyes got a deeper shade of red, but I think that's because my physiology evolved with all of my blood-shakes, and my *ahem* friend down there is growing magnificently. I can see why the interface added 'Incubus' before 'Charm'. I guess that's an advantage of male Veelas.

Mother obediently entered the suitcase without causing too much of a scene and I locked up the bungalow. I then apparated to Platform 9¾ wearing some comfortable clothes with my suitcase, cane in hand, and my grimoires at my hip. This time an Auror tried to stop me for questioning since apparition needs a licence and I am a little too young to have one. I placed him in a Genjutsu that showed him a harem of heavenly beauties just for him. Hehe, a quick way to get rid of public officials or incite terrorists: an orgy with beautiful, virgin, young women. Well, I might have gotten him arrested since he had an erection in an area filled with kids, but who cares?

I used magic to see if any of my friends had already arrived, but found no one, so I waited patiently for them in a corner. Ah, now that I think of it, Fred and George Weasley should be coming to Hogwarts this year, right? Those blokes will be fun to mess around with. I will give them the Marauder's Map to help them in their mischief.

After a few minutes, I saw Katrina apparating with her parents.

"Katrina!" I shouted to attract her attention. I also waved in her direction so she could see me. She waved at her parents and skedaddled to meet me.

"Hey there, Az! How was your vacation? And look at you, such changes in just a couple of months."

"Oh, quite nice I must say. Puberty did a number on me for sure. How about you? Had fun these couple of months?"

"Oh, yeah! In the end, we went with my relatives to the beach in Southern France! It was really fun!" Now that I look at her better, she's also growing up a little, just a little. I guess she'll be flat when she grows up, unless she gets a growth spurt.

Soon enough, Camille, Silvia, and Natalie arrived, soon followed by Christian. We boarded the train just in time for me to see a band of merry redheads arriving through the Muggle train station. I will certainly have fun organizing pranks with them. I will have them join the Dark Side, with cookies.

We found an empty compartment and enlarged it with magic, as usual now. I already did it four times last year. We chatted about our vacations and many were wondering where I spent my time since it was breathtaking. Ah, I forgot to mention that the photos I sent also served to 'let them in on the secret' according to the Fidelius charm, so they could potentially find my island. Well, there is no danger about that. I explained that I settled on an uninhabited island and my misadventure with the Kraken. They kinda wanted to try the Kraken takoyaki, so I used Subjective Reality to manifest a serving of takoyaki each, exactly the one that I got for myself and Mother.

During the trip I had an idea: 'Why don't I use some of those enhancing serums from the Marvel universe? There were some interesting ones. Actually, I can just create a 'fantasy' serum that gives me peak Vampiric capabilities. No, it should unlock all of my potential, which would extend to all of my current Abilities… Yes, this can work.'

I took out my blood-shake and added my newly fantasized serum, then down the hatch it went. Hm… I didn't feel anything different. Ah, but I was seriously sweating.

"Az, do you feel well? You're sweating quite a lot…" asked a worried Silvia.

"Hm… Yes, I'm fine. Excuse me for a moment." I said and exited the compartment. I headed to the end of the wagon and looked through my interface grimoire.

'Did I just fucking die?! I lost a fucking extra life! Ugh…' I thought as I created a couple of 1-UP mushrooms to snack on.

Let's see… My bloodlines have been purified, that much is obvious from the part next to my Race. Limit Break must be the ability to go further compared to normal Vampires… Actually, I had the suspicion for a while, but it seems that normally Vampires do not gain powers from drinking blood. It must be because I made it with Subjective Reality or maybe because it was a subconscious use of it.

Vampirism must be a flat improvement of my Blood-sucking Ability, which is useful to get more powers and magic. Perfect Memory is literally that. Ah, my Magic Core increased to Unlimited Mage class, which must either mean that the classification changed due to the serum, or it's the maximum level a normal person can achieve. It makes sense since I can feel that my magic is so large that it might as well be unlimited, considering the rate of usage and regeneration. Adapt and Overcome must be a boost to the powers I gain through blood, but it is unclear how much it improved. Actually, I require further experimentation regarding my actual limits. What interests me is Mythical Shapeshifting. It's obviously an improvement compared to plain Animagus magic, but what is it? Further research is needed. Ah, and I finally got the ability to live in a vacuum. I need to test for how long I can survive in space. I might need thermal resistance though...

After finishing my considerations, I used some spells to clean myself and my clothes since I was drenched in sweat, then went back to the compartment.

"Sorry, apparently I ate some garlic yesterday." I blatantly lied.

"Oh, are you okay?" asked Christian

"Yes, nothing out of the ordinary now. Hey, will anyone join the Quidditch team?"

"Nope." said Christian

"I don't think I'm suited to sports." answered Silvia

"Hm… Maybe, I'll think about it." said Natalie

"I don't think I will… I'm not that good at flying." said Camille

"I might actually try out. It might be interesting." said Katrina. Mm, yes, I expected it. She's the more outgoing one. I don't understand how she's not a Gryffindor.

We continued chatting about what we expect for this year's classes and stuff like that. I was also thinking about what I want to actually focus on for my training this year. My techniques for both spear, sword, and cane are already satisfactory. I can stop focusing on those, while also keeping up with some light training, in favor of something I wanted to practice more: illusion magic and stealth. It is about time I branch out from the 'magic warrior' path that I followed until now and start walking the 'magic assassin' path as I wanted in the beginning.

I will take François Prelati's Grimoire. I remember that he was True Caster in Fate/strange Fake and focused on illusions. Hell, his Noble Phantasm was basically a Reality Marble. For my stealth and assassination techniques manual, I will take the Hassan-i Sabbah Arts Manual. I can't not take the Grand Assassin's techniques and make them mine. Now I just have to wait until I get to Hogwarts then get again into my boring daily routine. Hopefully the Weasley twins will help me relieve some boredom.

After a couple of hours, we arrived in Hogsmeade and we had to separate due to the fact that the Thestral carriages can only carry four people. Those mindless beasts tried stealing my blood-shake, but I hurriedly stored it in an enchanted pouch. Those fuckers will never have my special shake. I even added 1-UP mushroom extract just to make sure that I never die because I didn't check my interface.

I started going through Prelati's Grimoire and boy is it what I was looking for. If I combine his illusions with the Rinne Sharingan's, I might just be able to kill people just by looking at them: a simple illusion of their death and they drop to the ground. How lovely would that be? Oh, there's also some Horror summoning in here… It might be useful, but who knows. After my familiars hatch by the end of the year, I doubt that I would need summoning that much. But… If I think of Iä Shub-Niggurath from Overlord, I get second thoughts.

While I was immersed in my thoughts, we arrived at the castle. I took my suitcase and cane then exited the carriage with Silvia, Camille, and Natalie. We strolled inside the castle and into the Great Hall with the rest of the students, then sat at our respective tables. A detail I failed to notice was that my eyes were shining red, so I had a lot of gazes aimed at me. Well, who cares?

Soon enough, the firsties were led into the Hall by McGonagall and the Sorting Ceremony started. The only important people were Cedric Diggory, who I didn't care much about, and the Weasley twins. I think that it will be quite a fun year with them. I will have to show them that being a Slytherin doesn't mean we're all evil. Well, I am, but only to those I don't like. Hm… Well, Cedric can be degraded to an extra as I will surely take his place in the Triwizard Tournament. Unless… A nefarious plan started building itself in my mind. I will have to check whether I can do what I am planning or not. If I can, I will have a lot of fun.

At the end of the dinner, I quickly apparated myself in my new room to leave the cane and suitcase. A quick setup of wards and enchantments, then I transformed into a bat and followed the Gryffindor firsties in their dormitories. How can I apparate inside of Hogwarts? It should have been pretty clear, but I hijacked their wards. I literally have free access to anything in this place. Back to my 'mission'.

I waited for the Prefect to open the damn way to the Common Room, then flew inside. I stuck to a crease in the ceiling and waited for the Weasley twins to get assigned to a room. They ended up with two other extras that I won't bother remembering. I sneaked in their room in my fog form and returned to my human form only when they were all asleep. This is taking much more than I hoped it would. Anyway, since I had free reign, I casted a few sleeping spells on the four kids to make sure that they would sleep until tomorrow. I left the Marauder's Map on a desk with a note: 'For your future mischiefs, solemnly swear that you are up to no good. - A silver-green friend.'

Hehe, that will cause a headache for sure! Silver-green can only be a Slytherin, but who? They will have to work hard to find out it's me. I apparated again to my room and went to sleep.
