Tendo Vs....

The fight between Sasuke and Yoroi didn't last too long. Sasuke was getting beaten at first but he managed to turn the match around and defeat Yoroi with a Lions Barrage. Tendo was unimpressed by the fight as the level of combat portrayed was negligible. He kept his focus on the electronic scoreboard to see the next combatants, hoping that he would be the one to fight next.

[Shino Vs. Zaku]

The two got down to the battle stage and started fighting a short exchange of words. Zaku started off with a bang by blowing Shino away with a sound jutsu from one of his broken arms. Shino managed to counter the attack fairly easily and sent his bugs after him, causing Zaku to panic. He tried to do an AoE jutsu but failed as Shino's bugs had already infiltrated his arms, blocking the sound from escaping and causing the pressure to build up resulting in his arms being blown off. Shino flickered in front of him and delivered a blow to his face, ending the match right there. Tendo was at first using the Byakugan to see how the bugs interacted with Shino, but he soon lost interest when he realized that it wasn't anything special.

[Misumi Tsurugi Vs. Kankuro]

Tendo ignored this fight as the puppet master's way of fighting was a smart but uninteresting way of battle. It ended swiftly with Kankuro's victory. As Tendo was waiting for the other match to begin, he felt something moving in his body. He knew this wasn't the Shukaku because the raccoon was never that active before. Thats when a demonic, evil voice rang out in his mind.

Kurama: "Boy, what kind of sealing jutsu is this? Last I remembered I was asleep in that Uzumaki brat and I suddenly felt something absorbing my chakra. That must've been you..."

Tendo: 'You're not sealed Kurama. You're just a part of my body now. Now, we are one and the same.'

Kurama: 'Boy, how do you know my name and what do you mean we are the same?! It's like I'm sealed within you but I'm not at the same time!'

Tendo: 'You are a part of my body so of course your name will be known to me. It's just as I said, we are now one and the same.'

Shukaku: 'Hahaha! You old fox! You're stuck in here just like I am!'

Kurama: 'This damn Tanuki is always making a scene! Boy, I swear on my name as Kurama that I will find a way out of here and when I do, I'll destroy everything you hold dear.'

Tendo: 'Whatever you say Kurama.'

Tendo and the beasts continued carrying on their conversations and threats towards each other as time passed quickly. Tendo was brought out of his stupor when he saw his name finally appear on the scoreboard.

[Tendo Senju Vs. Rock Lee]

Tendo was pleasantly surprised at who his opponent turned out to be. He quickly flickered down onto the battle stage and looked up at the spot where Lee was standing with his team.

Tendo: "Well, don't keep me waiting."

Guy looked apprehensive to send Lee against Tendo as he had seen this particular genin fight before. He didn't think that this was someone Lee could handle unless he unleased 'a certain technique.' His students had already told him what Tendo did to some of the Konoha Shinobi in the Forest of Death so he didn't want Lee to get injured meaninglessly.

Lee: "Guy Sensei! Do not worry about me, I will make you proud and defeat him! I promise I won't fail!"

Guy was going to object once again but when he saw the look of determination on Lee's face, he started to tear up immensely. His heart was once again filled with hope.

Guy: "Lee!"

Lee: "Guy Sensei!"

Guy: "Go out there and make me proud. Show them all the results of your hard work! Defeat your opponent with the power of YOUTH!!!"

Lee: "Yes, Guy Sensei!"

Lee jumped down to the stage and got into his stance, ready for battle. Tendo gave Lee a small smile and a blue aura started to form around him. Multiple conversations on who would triumph between some of the examinees were being formed in the audience as the two got ready to face off.

Naruto: "Hey chump! Why do you have those face markings?! Do you think you could just ab- Mmmphhhh!!"

Sakura: "Hey shut up Naruto! You'll get yourself into trouble!"

Sakura pulled Naruto back and covered his mouth. Outwardly, she was scolding Naruto for being loud but inwardly she was scared that Tendo might try to take some kind of revenge on them after the exams for what Naruto said. She hated herself for being afraid of a boy her own age but, what else could she do? Everyone else who had witnessed or went through the 'battle' in the forest against Tendo knew exactly what she was doing.

The atmosphere finally got quiet again. The tension in the atmosphere was heavy and the Konoha genins couldn't help but be worried about Lee's wellbeing. Hayate raised his hand in the air, Tendo was already preparing himself to rush towards his opponent and Lee was already looking for openings in Tendo's form. Both of them were at the top of their game at this moment.

Hayate: "Begin!"

'Water Stream Rock-Smashing Fist!'

Tendo was the first to move. He flickered towards Lee and landed in front of him with his elbow extended to deliver the first hit. Lee was surprised at Tendo's speed but he calmly composed himself and barely managed to dodge the attack by leaning his head to the side. He then drew one of his hands back and sent a strong punch towards Tendo's abdomen to try and stun him. Tendo's elbow moved down to block the fist with one fluid movement. He then sent a powerful knee towards Lee's unguarded abdomen, causing Lee to quickly use his other hand to block the hit.

With one swift motion, Tendo pulled his back his knee and turned into a sweep attack. Lee didn't know the first attack was a feint to land this one so his balance was already off and he couldn't move to dodge the hit. Tendo swept Lee off of his feet and then rushed in closer to him, delivering multiple fast punches to his abdomen. Each punch caused Lee to be pushed into the air more and more until Lee eventually managed to put up his guard, breaking the combo in the process.

Lee started flipping back to make space between him and Tendo but the latter wouldn't allow him to catch his breath. As Lee landed several feet away from his initial spot, he saw Tendo disappear from his position too. He looked around and the only things he saw were multiple blue streaks moving with incredible speed across the arena. He almost clutched his abdomen from the pain of the earlier punches but he resisted the urge as he was accustomed to such pain.

Suddenly, Tendo appeared under him with a palm strike being aimed at his chin. Lee tried to block once again but this time, his eyes were open for any possible feints. Tendo saw his guard and turned the palm strike into an elbow to deliver more force against it.

Crack!

As the elbow landed on Lee's arms, Tendo heard the sound of a small crack going off.

Tendo: 'That must be his bones starting to crack. I'll just keep up the pressure so that he can stay on the defensive.'

Tendo started landing multiple punches on Lee's guard, with every hit slowly but surely breaking it. Tendo then stopped punching and held Lee by his arms, pulling him forwards with incredible force. He then raised his knee to land the finishing blow on Lee's guard but Lee retaliated by raising his knee, hitting Tendo's attack head-on.

Tendo: "Is this the best you can do? Did your sensei only teach you how to play defense?"
