Chapter 28: College Life
Angelica's POV
Since that night grandma Corazon and I have been bonding sa bahay nila minsan kasi sinasama ni Leandro si Markus for Swimming and Fencing Lessons, kaya ako lang madalas sa penthouse when grandma knew that she told me na tumambay daw ako sa bahay nila since she was also alone, si grandpa kasi kapag umaga ay nasa office kagaya ni Walter they're still busy, but Walter makes sure we still have time for each other. The moment he finishes work he directly comes home well sa bahay nila grandma at grandpa. We eat dinner together since sabay din umuwi si Markus at Walter, kapag Saturdays naman umuuwi ako sa bahay nang parents ko with Markus, while every Sunday we all go to church minsan sa bahay nila Grandma at Grandpa kami kumakain after mass minsan naman sa bahay nang mga magulang ko. For the rest of the week days kami ni Grandma madalas magkasama we would bake, go shopping, and just hang out. Walter's grandma looks really strict but she's a cool grandma yung grandparents ko kasi sa mother side eh medyo mataas yung standards kaya nga they get along with my cousin Helga (daughter of the brother of Angelica's mom). Strict naman din ang grandma ni Walter pero not that much para syang millenial grandma.
Today though is the first day of our classes. Hayyy back to school na naman, this year is really going to be a stressful one lalo na't 2nd year college na kami ni Walter and hindi ang yan Felix and I will be on the same school and same building since he's also studying Business Ad. I shouldn't think about this for now I have to get up. Do my morning rituals and cook breakfast ayaw ka na kasing ang mga manang ang magluto since they're already old. So I cooked breakfast and started waking everyone up naka uniform na nga kaming lahat.
"Good Morning love" Walter greeted me and kissed my cheek before sitting down. I am sure everyone saw that including his brother kaya kinurot ko sya.
"What?" he mouthed
"May bata ano ka ba" He chuckled with what I said
"I just kissed you on the cheek love" he grinned
Tumikhim naman si Leandro "Ehem. ehem. Respeto naman sa mga single"
Natawa kaming lahat sa sinabi nya sumangayon naman and dalawang pinsan kong babae
"Pst kayong dalawa kumain na nga kayo dapat lang na single pa kayo you girls are still in Senior High aral muna"
They giggled "Yes ate"
We prayed for our safety and for the food before eating. The moment we finished eating nagsimula na kaming magsi-alisan. Our classes are still at 9 kaya pwedeng pwede pa naiming ihatid si Markus sa T.A.U.
Walter was the one driving, ako na sa passenger's seat, habang si Markus naman ay naglalaro na naman nang games sa cellphone nya.
"Markus ano nga ang sabi ko about your phone while the vehicle you're riding is running?"
"Hehe sorry ate" mag mula noong tumira na si Markus kasama namin, Walter and I try our very best at disciplining him, minsan mahirap mag explain sa kanya about things but so far Markus has been a good kid. When we reached his school he immediately fixed his hair and uniform tapos nag perfume pa!
"Bye ate. Bye kuya." dali dali syang lumabas sa sasakyan ni Walter at tumakbo papunta sa batang babae I think they're classmates. The little girl looks beautiful. Chinita, maputi, she looks so cute! Para syang living doll. She and Markus smiled at each other before entering the campus nakita ko namang tumingin muli si Markus sa aming. He was blushing!
"Walter nag bi-binata na ang kapatid mo oh!" hinampas ko ang braso ni Walter
"You don't have to be so brutal love, I saw it too" napalas siguro yung hampas ko sa kanya
I gave him a peace sign "hehehe sorry love! Love ya!"
"Tss love you too" he rolled his eyes and focused on the road but he smiled and blushed
Napaka pabebe naman nito! Akala nya siguro hindi ko nakita na ngumiti at namula sya.
When we arrived at the school agad agad kaming pumunta sa orientation namin habang tumatakbo medyo na traffic kasi kami kaya ayun we had to run para hindi kami ma late.
The whole orientation was kinda boring since yung mga diniscuss nila ay parehas lang last year. We met some of our teachers too and had some meet and greet. Nothing exciting happened well except for seeing my bestfriends Ali and Jen we met last year and instantly clicked we ate together syempre kasama pa din ang aking baby damulag na si Walter na halos hindi na ako bitawan. I had a meeting with the Student Council since part ako dun habang si Walter naman ay pupunta sa meeting nang basketball team. Yep, kasali si Walter sa Growling Tigers kaya we had no choice but to separate for the mean time. Kasama ko din ang dalawa kog bestfriends since part din sila nang SC. Kung mamalasin nga naman I didn't see Felix the whole day but I saw him here sa meeting nang SC pinakilala pa sya sa amin bilang new memeber! DAMN! I forgot na sya nga pala ang SC President nung highschool kami! He's really active when it comes to academics and sports he loves playing badminton din kasi.
The whole meeting was fun, we intriduced ourselves and our goals for this school year. We also talked about the future events for this year. I knew that this was going to be another stressful and busy year. When we finished nagulat ako nang kaladkarin ako ni Felix palabas.
"Ano ba?! Anong na naman ba ang kailangan mo?"
"Can we perhaps eat dinner together later, just like the old times? Promise just dinner we won't talk"
"No." tipid kong sagot
"Please just this once Angelica"
"What's going on here LOVE?" mabuti naman at dumating na si Walter
"wala naman Felix just wanted to ask where's the office of one of our teachers na teacher nya din"
"Ah okay magtanong ka sa iba. Let's go Angelica we still need to fetch Markus"
Oh no he is MAD! Nauna na syang sumakay sa sasakyan nya. I tried talking to him but I surrendered he's really mad. His anger continued hanggang umuwi kami mula sa dinner namin with his grandparents. Granma noticed it too and told me to give him some space and just talk to him tomorrow. We both slept on our separate rooms without even making up...
Hayyy this is going to be a rollercoster year....
