Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

A Grandmaster And An Opal

~~~(POV: Nella Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: The Jedi Temple, Coruscant)~~~

Eassa and Nate are still lost at this point. They disappeared in a flash of light. I wanted to go looking for them, but Satele said it'd be best if we didn't do anything. She has far more trust in The Force than I do, but that's a given.

I'm following behind her right now, and we're heading down an old and dark corridor. I don't know where she's taking me, but I'm starting to get excited. The Jedi Temple of Coruscant is amazing, even as ruins.

"Tell me, Nella. What do you think of the relationship between Eassa and Nate? I'm no stranger to finding love, even though it's forbidden for us Jedi. I'm concerned for Eassa."

Funny how she's asking a young teenager these things. Goes to show how inexperienced Jedi are when it comes to love. But Satele has more experience than most. Special exceptions are made for powerful Jedi. As much as they'd deny it.

As to her question, I don't know what to think about Eassa and Nate. Sure, I know Eassa has a thing for Nate. But I also know that Nate has never shown interest in anything but his goals and questions. I never thought he'd be the one to have a childhood sweetheart.

There is a connection between them, and I can sense that Nate is more open with her than anyone else I've met. That means she meant a lot to him at one point in time. So much so, that she's able to affect him now.

"I think there is a spark between them. But Nate has never been the type to get distracted by anything regarding love, people, or sex. To put it bluntly. But I think if there is anyone, it might be Eassa. From the looks and sounds of it, they have a long history together."

It also helps the case that Eassa is a beautiful Twi'lek. Even I find myself looking at her longer than a woman should another woman.

Satele lets out a soft chuckle and stays quiet. I'm a little confused, and I'm about to ask why she reacted that way. But I'm stopped as she halts in her tracks and uses The Force to open a door.

What we're greeted with is an old-looking practice area and one that's seen better days. I watch as Satele enters and walks to the center of the room. Crouching down and placing her hand on the ground. Running it across the surface in the process.

"Do you know what this place is, Nella..."

No. Of course, I don't. But I can take a guess.

"A practice area for Jedi?"

That's the best guess I can make.

"You're almost right. This is where younglings and initiates are trained. There are several places like this all over the temple, but this one is special to me since this is where I trained... It's seen better times..."

I walk deeper into the room and place my hand on the old terminal. I start to enter some commands, and after a few tries. I'm able to get a hologram to pop up.

"Evacuate the temple!! The temple is lost! Head to the spaceports!"

The hologram repeats over and over again, and I watch Satele stand up and make her way over. Shutting off the terminal in the process.

"That was the emergency beacon... I was on Coruscant when the sacking happened, but I wasn't in the temple. I was at the Senate building. But at the time, I wished I could've been here to defend our home."

I know that as much as Satele tries to hide her feelings. She can be pretty raw when it comes to people she trusts. Since I'm Nate's cousin and Apprentice, I guess that means I'm allowed to see her like this.

She stands up and heads for the center of the room. Taking her lightsaber off her belt, and igniting it. Turning toward me with a smile.

"How about you show me what Nate has taught you so far. After all this time, I want to see if anything I taught him has rubbed off on you."

Wow.

I'm about to spar with the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.

This is so freaking cool!!!
