Truth Or Die?

Far away from the strange forest was the Dark Continent, the land here was barren and decaying with various purple eyed monsters that looked like horned rabbits two times larger than normal rabbits dashing about and chasing after a winged worm that was the size of a football.

Behind the rabbits, a purple haired girl wearing a long blue dress chased after them. Her feet was bare, with a couple of runic markings on the back of her feet which glowed with in a faint purple light.

"Come back here you little bundles of pain! I won't give up until I make stew out of you!" The young girl roared as the runes on her toes slowly crept up to her shin, and her speed tripled!

Gaining the major boost in strength, she was able to close the large gap between her and the rabbits, even managing to grab one which was about to leap away. Her eyes brightened as she held the rabbit which was squirming around in her grasp close to her face for inspection.

Yes, the rabbit looked fat, plump, and good to eat - it wouldn't let be a bad idea to eat grilled rabbit this evening would it? Besides, as her brother had left she was free to do whatever she wants in her father's absence.

"My princess! Pant Pant, you run so fast. I could barely keep up with you…"

The purple haired girl turned around in curiosity to see a round figure running towards her at full speed. In a few seconds, she understood who he was and smiled cutely.

It was her butler Mark, a fat and bearded uncle at the 5th Level of the Supreme Warlord Soul realm! The fat uncle - although he looked weak and slow, he was a very renowned powerhouse in the Chaos Flame Empire.

"Imperial Princess Violet, how long has it been since you began cultivation? Now you've already surpassed me in terms of speed and agility…"

Mark cried out, his face drenched in sweat and his expression sour. He had been running after this girl without the aid of his Supreme Qi and just his natural speed, hence his suffering.

"Hehe, you really need to lose your weight. Your fat is a great liability to you in terms of speed, and that's nothing good at all." Violet giggled as she lowered her arms without releasing her prey. She kept her cute smile as she approached the butler.

Seeing that Violet was coming over, the butler hunched over and fought back the urge to throw up his insides. All the air in his lungs was blown out in a few short and rapid pants.

He didn't even bother with Violet's blunt words, ignoring her completely as he tried to catch his breath. After a while, he finally began to regain his strength and lowered vitality.

"Princess, we should go back now. We're already too far from Blackgem Castle and might step into Shadow Demon woods any moment from now." Mark warned sternly with his brows knitted, and a light frown on his face. He seemed to have a lot of bad blood with the Shadow Demons.

"Yes, we should." Violet sighed before throwing all the rabbits into her storage, a dark space in her supreme consciousness that allowed her to store anything - living or dead.

Mark nodded at the princess and stood still without moving. Violet who was in front of him also stood still without moving, and silence descended upon the duo.

"…"

"My princess, aren't you going to leave?" Mark asked with his brow raised and a frown on his face as he watched Violet, unmoving. He didn't want to take the lead as she might disappear at any time if she was behind her.

"Cough Cough, take the lead butler Mark. I'll follow obediently from behind, don't worry about me." Violet stood still as she spoke, she didn't want to take the lead no matter what. If she was in front, her chances of sneaking away would drop!

None of the two moved, and the moment turned completely awkward with butler and princess staring at one another. Only after a moment did butler Mark shake his head and took a few steps towards Violet, placing his hand on her head.

Violet raised her brow in surprise as Mark laid his hands on her head, her eyes narrowed. Only after thinking in silence for a while did she come to a terrifying conclusion - he was using the Qi Seal technique!

"Hey, what do you think you're doing? Stop what you're doing this instant!" Violet shouted in shock as she slapped Mark's hands away, her eyes were shrouded in rage. She felt like kneeing her butler in the guts!

After composing herself, Violet glared at Mark with her eyes blazing, and opened her mouth to speak in a cold voice that could freeze the spines of any normal person who heard them,

"Take the lead, right now. That's an order."

Mark bowed to his princess and after rising he turned around and began walking away. He didn't even bother to check if the princess was following him or not and just kept his forward march.

Violet was speechless for a while at Butler Mark's obedience, but she soon came to a realisation after checking to find something wrong with her Supreme Qi - her butler has left a [Tracking Sigil] on her!

[Tracking Sigil] was much worse than Qi Sealing Technique as it not only restricted her abilities and had a shorter activation time, it also gives him the ability to locate her whenever he wants.

"Why? Why did you do that? Take off this sigil now, that's an order from your princess!" Violet shouted in a domineering tone as she furiously stomped her feet and crossed her arms before her chest. She was furious, but unable to do anything.

Her flushed face, and swelled cheeks made her look like a little chicken about to explode.

"Huh? Take what off? You must be imagining things, let's go." Mark spoke without turning back or halting his march, stepping into a dense crowd of trees and disappearing into the darkness. His carefree movements made him seem nonchalant at the situation, but his heart was beating fiercely.

If she still didn't follow him, he'll drop the act and drag her back to the castle. Violet could a brat at times, but she wasn't stupid - and that was what Mark was counting on with sweat rolling down the side of his face.

Violet who witnessed Mark disappear into the darkness, shuddered. She was a bit terrified being left out here with her strength sealed, and had abandoned her plans of rebellion.

"H-hey, wait for me! T-that's an order!" Violet ran after Mark without hesitation, her eyes welling up with tears - she wasn't going to stay in this stupid place with the strength of a mortal! If even one beast appeared here without Mark to protect her…

No! I can't stay here!

With this, Violet ran as fast as she could after Mark, her eyes tearing up. She didn't even look back at the forest, and just kept running until she saw Mark's chubby figure in the distance.

"Come on, princess. Those idiots in the castle must be slacking off again." Mark turned around with a frown and spoke out in a soft voice. Soon, he waited as Violet ran close to him before adding, "Let's get over there quickly…"

——

George was stunned, he didn't even know what expression he should make currently and just kept his cold and nonchalant mask. Despite this, he had already prepared for battle with his grip on his [Chaos Blade] as tight as possible.

"Oh heavens, I sense over two hundred Divine Souls scattered across this place with their aura not hidden or suppressed." Leon blurted out as he slowly began to rise above the ground, his body levitating. Soon, he was about 3.ft off the ground with his book floating before him.

"Two hundred? Two hundred!" Avalyn nearly fainted, her eyes watered up and tears ran down her cheeks. How was she, a mere Heavenly Soul Supreme going to survive a battle like this?

Just the collision of their aura was enough to shatter all the bones in her body! If she was very unlucky, her brain might even explode!

"Are they hostile? Are we sure they're brainless monsters?" Azai asked cooly from the side with a calm expression on his face. Although he looked as calm as George, his heart was palpitating.

"Well, from their organised formation and maybe their self created weapons - we can deduce that they're not brainless and have attained a certain level of intelligence." Eleanor who was standing besides Azai whispered as she stared at the host of winged humanoids, wondering why they have not made their move yet.

"Mortals, what business do you have with the True Faith Celestial Hall? I can sense if you're lying and to have only one chance to say the truth before we attack." The winged monster at the fore front who seemed to be acting as commander spoke in a cool voice as he glared upon George.

"Mortals?" George's eyes twitched at that word, but he ignored it. After calming his wild heart, he opened his mouth to speak in a soft voice, "Do you really think we're going to answer that?"

The silver winged humanoid at the front froze for a second before suddenly erupting with laughter, his eyes watering up with tears. He felt like the human before him didn't know exactly where he is and who they were, and that's why he isn't cooperating with their words.

"We are the angels acting as Guardians to the home of our heavenly father, El. Humans like you should either speak on how and why they're here or die." The 'angel' with silver wings spoke out in a deep voice as he drew the sword strapped to his waist and pointed it at George. He was making his point clear as crystal - speak the truth, or die!
