At this moment, by partially quantizing himself, he could clearly observe certain changes within Lizard Gwen's body.
These changes were the decaying genetic chains within her!
Certain components in the Lizard Genetic Serum had caused her cells to undergo excessive division during her lizard-like transformation, leading to many segments of the genetic chain being replaced by lizard genes.
However, now, as the lizard genes were receding and there was no serum to counterbalance the gaps in her genetic chain, the result was a rapid deterioration of bodily functions, ultimately leading to death!
What Mark needed to do now was to remove all the newly generated cells and damaged genetic chains from Gwen Stacy's body based on her quantum changes.
In the context of modern medicine, this would seem like an impossible task.
Just like how many people find quantum theory nonsensical when they first encounter it.
How could a cat be both alive and dead at the same time? How could particles appear in two places simultaneously?
But for Mark, who possessed the ability to quantize himself, anything was possible!
Because he could "see" the true state of quantum particles.
Mark's right hand still maintained its position on Lizard Gwen's face, while his left hand suddenly lifted.
In Andrew Spider's astonished gaze, the five fingers of Mark's left hand began to emit a faint glow, distorting until they seemed to transform into a 3D projection.
[Quantum Scalpel]!
A "scalpel" specialized for the micro-particle level.
It possessed both "cutting" and "repairing" capabilities. By perceiving the quantum changes within the target's body and obtaining the states of atoms and atomic nuclei, it would "cut" away excess micro-particles and "repair" the decaying ones.
This ability was an inspired insight.
Just like his nanometal battle suit.
Nanoparticles were similar to his body in a quantized state, right?
Since nanometal could be meticulously manipulated after integrating an AI chip, why couldn't he choose to partially quantize his body for micro-operations?
And indeed, he could!
Perception with the right hand, manipulation with the left hand.
Mark cautiously began to work on Lizard Gwen's body.
From Andrew Spider's perspective, it appeared as though Mark's hand, which had turned into a "3D projection," was half-buried within Gwen's body!
But strangely, there was no blood or any similar substance flowing out.
He couldn't quite understand the principle behind Mark's current actions, but this astonishing scene boosted his confidence.
Mark's first surgical operation continued for over ten minutes.
Midway through, Lizard Gwen did wake up, and due to the pain coursing through her body, she struggled fiercely, letting out irrational roars of rage.
Fortunately, Andrew Spider held her down firmly, allowing Mark to safely complete the procedure amidst the ordeal.
"Whew—"
He took a long breath and retracted both hands.
But now, his left hand's five fingers seemed to have grown a size larger.
Mark stood up, walked to the side, and with a forceful shake, removed the excess material that had been cut away from his hand. After a brief tremor, his hand returned to its normal flesh-like appearance.
As for the material that was shaken off, it was actually all the surplus cells that had been severed.
Individual DNA molecules are naturally quite small, but no matter how small something is, as long as you have a lot of it, it naturally becomes "large."
Mark leaned against the wall behind him for a moment. At this point, he really felt like having a glass of milk.
"Mark, are you alright?" Andrew Spider asked with concern.
"Come on, I know what you want to ask. Don't worry, as of now, the surgery seems to have been successful. Look," Mark pointed to the pile of material he had shaken off to the side, "these are all the extra DNA and atoms from damaged genes. I managed to find all that could be found. Her body is probably in better shape than before."
"Hahaha—" Andrew Spider laughed happily.
Sure enough, before long, Gwen Stacy woke up.
Seeing the two of them embracing each other and kissing without care, a smile of relief spread across Mark's face.
This could be considered one of his goals accomplished in this world.
Although he didn't rescue Gwen Stacy from the Green Goblin's clutches, who had transformed from Harry Osborn, the Green Goblin created by Norman Osborn was purer than the former.
Moreover, saving Lizard Gwen from genetic decay was even more challenging.
As for whether the events from the original story would repeat, that would depend on Andrew Spider himself.
However, judging from his ruthless actions against the Green Goblin in their recent battle, this situation was unlikely to arise again.
After all, the movie version of the Green Goblin wasn't very strong.
As long as Spider-Man fought seriously, dealing with him was relatively easy.
As for the second purpose...
Mark walked over to Andrew Spider and patted his shoulder. "Alright, alright, I know you're both excited and inseparable, but is it really necessary? Have you considered the feelings of us single folks?"
Gwen Stacy blushed and buried herself in Andrew Spider's embrace, but soon raised a small head and whispered, "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Mark smiled slightly. "Peter, before I go, there's something I'd like to ask of you."
Andrew Spider didn't even ask what it was and immediately said, "Tell me, I'm here for anything."
"Help me make some web fluid," Mark said.
Before coming here, he had only about half of the web fluid he obtained from the Miles' World. After the consumption here, there wasn't much left.
Conveniently, Andrew Spider had the ability to develop web fluid, so it was only fair to "borrow" a bit.
Andrew Spider chuckled, "So you don't know how to make web fluid? No worries, I can teach you."
"That's great," Mark's smile grew even more pronounced.
Being able to independently master the technology for developing web fluid meant that he wouldn't have to worry about web fluid issues in the future.
It was worth his while to make this trip to this world.
Afterward, Andrew Spider escorted Gwen Stacy back home and then came with Mark to his small workshop.
The workshop was located in a deserted area in the Queens neighborhood, surrounded by old, dilapidated houses.
After some slight modifications by Andrew Spider, he placed some equipment in the workshop.
Each of them found a corner and crafted a makeshift hammock from webs to spend the night.
Early the next morning, their learning journey began.
"To produce spider silk, you first need to understand its structure."
"The primary structure is formed by hydrogen bonds between amino acid molecules, forming a hydrogen bond β-sheet."
"The hydrogen bond β-sheets are then connected to each other through hydrogen bonds, forming the secondary structure of spider silk—hydrogen bond β-sheet nanocrystals."
"These hydrogen bond β-sheet nanocrystals are embedded into the semi-amorphous β-turn peptide chains to form the α-helical structure, which is the tertiary structure of spider silk—a protein nanocomposite structure."
"Once you reach this step, the spider silk solution can be considered complete."
Andrew Spider stood in front of the lab table, speaking fluently, while Mark lay on the table, observing the spider silk under a microscope.
