A Day before He contacted Spider-Man

Charles's Pov

The day began like any other routine at the mansion, with X-Men training sessions and classes. However, our peaceful day was shattered by a powerful psychic wave that immediately caught my attention. I instinctively traced it back to Jean, but it was unlike anything she had ever unleashed before.

Rushing to her location, I found Jean thrashing in her bed, her distress evident. I attempted to delve into her mind to understand the cause of the wave, only to be met with a massive headache as I was forcefully thrown out.

Grasping her hand, I gently shook her awake. "What's wrong, Jean? You're emitting an incredibly powerful telepathic wave," I asked, my concern evident.

She gritted her teeth in frustration, trying to make sense of it all. "I had a dream of a burning bird... It was trying to communicate with me, but the details are all fuzzy," she explained, clearly troubled by the mysterious telepathic outburst.

"Don't worry, Jean. We'll get to the bottom of this, and remember, we have someone who might have an idea about what's happening," I reassured her, hoping to ease her anxiety.

"Go back to bed for now. I'll contact Spider-Man tomorrow, and we'll figure it out together," I said before leaving her room, my mind already racing with questions about the next day's challenges.

The Day He Contacted Spider-Man.

Charles's Pov

After our breakfast and some teaching, I decided to call the main x-men team to attend the meeting because I was the one to assure them after Jean's outburst last night because they were all affected having a great sense of danger and immediate detecting any unusual activity in the mansion.

I waited in my office for them to arrive.

I called Logan, Scott, Storm, Bobby, Piotr, Hank, Rogue, Colossus, Kurt, Kitty and Warren.

As they gathered in my office, I told them to wait for Spider-Man. Everyone engaged in conversation in order to kill time and it took 5 minutes for Spider-Man to reach the school. I telepathically told him to come meet us in my office.

When he entered the office, his eyes immediately zeroed on Jean, and I can say that he can sense what is happening to her.

" Hello guys and ladies, what is up?" He said and Everyone greeted him back; he also took a seat and signaled me to start.

" Okay, I called you guys here because of what you felt last night which was caused by Jean as you all know from me informing you about the incident last night. The thing is Jean's powers have been fluctuating since we came back from our last mission, and I think it is what caused her powers to be unstable. I called Spider-Man here because I believe he can at least assist us because he has more knowledge about the world. I believe Jean can explain to us what she saw" I said while looking at each of them trying to put my point across.

" I saw a huge bird made up of flames floating and it scared me because it feels both calm and destructive. I felt as if with but a mere thought that being can destroy the whole world without repercussions." She said while looking nervous and scared.

" Did you say a huge bird made up of flames?" Spider-Man suddenly asked to which Jean nodded her head firmly.

" It seems like the Phoenix Force have chosen an Avatar and you are that avatar. The Phoenix Force is both creation and destruction. It knows no good or evil, for it is a being that transcends such limitations. It is a being of pure energy and this fluctuations in your powers is your body trying to adjust to the power gain from it. It is the embodiment of all life and all psionic powers in the cosmos. The dreams may be a projection of the Phoenix Force. I think the duty of Phoenix avatar is to travel the cosmos and destroy stagnated worlds in order to create another one on it. It destroys and creates at the same time." Spider-Man said shocking all of us.

I mean who will have thought that Jean is a host to a being of unimaginable power.

" But why me? Why can't it choose someone else?" Jean said agitatedly which was further reinforced by the sudden launching of a chair on the wall which caused us to look at her in shock.

" Don't be angry Jean because as you can see, your powers are directly tied to your emotions and accidents will happen if you don't learn control. The Phoenix Force is highly susceptible to corruption, and it can mutate to a being known as the Dark Phoenix whose only goal is to consume and destroy, so please calm down. " Spider-Man admonished her lightly which caused her to calm down and further shocking us because if what he said is true, then we might have something beyond us.

He further added " I will be able to help Jean I think but what I am worried about is the enemies of the Phoenix Force particularly the D'Bari a race of shape-shifting aliens with superhuman strength and healing powers almost on per with Logan and I can already feel them heading to this place. I think you guys need to prepare and do not underestimate them because they are quite powerful. Their leader is able to absorb and manipulate any form of energy and is immune to telepathy so Bobby, Ororo, Scott and Charles cannot fight her because you will just give her more power. She is also a telekinetic with the ability to twist organs. So how are you going to do this?"

" I think we will just follow your advice at the moment because you know more about them than we do." I said to which everyone else agreeing.

He then added " As for Jean, you cannot fight right now because if you do you may endanger all of us. So, you are going to stay here. I want to say that even though all of us have problems about killing living beings, I can say for sure that these aliens aren't our friends, and they will kill us if given the opportunity. So, please no holding back, also I have some suits you can wear for further protection. I hope you will trust on this." He finished while taking out some accessories seedling out of nowhere and giving it to us.

" Just put on the accessories and say activate" He told when he saw skepticism on our faces.

We did as told and can only watch in amazement as the accessories changed into a suit that fit us perfectly and I can feel my telepathic powers improving which goes to show how advance this suit is compared to ours.

" You feel it right, these suits are made by me and they can augment your powers by 10%, the suits are almost indestructible, they can also accommodate to the wearers sizes and needs. I believe your powers plus the suit can take of the aliens." Spider-Man added seeing our amazement.

" Then this means you are way ahead of earth's technology." Hank said excitedly seemingly forgetting our imminent crisis.

"Yes, but that's not the focus right now because the aliens are almost on our doorstep." Logan said which immediately made us remember the reasons we needed the suits.

I told nightcrawler to take the kids to safety in inner parts of the school because I can feel that things may get ugly.

We all stepped out to face a threat unlike any we had encountered before. United, we believed we could defeat them, and Spider-Man's presence had already given us an advantage.
