Void is obviously trying to maintain his chill while he approached Irene with heavy footsteps, "What are you talking about?" He asked in an impatient manner and strongly held Irene's jaw. 

She winced in pain because it has not been long yet since Gulliver slapped her with so much force to the point that she thought her head would fall off.

Irene maintained eye contact with Void while he is holding her jaw stronger and stronger until it felt like it is going to break soon. She looked at him like she is not afraid of anything.

Void knew too well that Irene may not be lying when she says that Amiel is no longer in this mortal world and they don't have anything to do with each other anymore.

Moreover, the protective amulet against Void that Rossi gave to Irene seemed to be not working anymore because he literally just poofed out of nowhere right in front of her.
