Chapter 4

The police chased after him with their sirens blaring loud, Egan was smart, he hid at the back of a garbage can in an alley not far from the park, and he stayed there until he thought it safe to come out.

The time was 5:30 pm when he got out of the alley, not having anywhere to go he decided to spend the night at the cemetery where his dad was buried. When he got there he sat down at the head of the grave looking around, he saw people bringing flowers to come to see their loved ones who had passed just like he came to see his father only that he wasn't having any flowers.

"Hi Dad," Egan said

"It's me your son, how's heaven" he continued.

"I miss you, Dad," he said, he was tearful this time, he couldn't take it anymore he just had to let it all out. He cried like a baby holding the headstone hitting it.

"Why did you leave me, Dad, why did you leave me?" He asked.

"You shouldn't have left me alone, nobody cares about me anymore, Mom and her boyfriend treating me like trash Dad"

He continued.

Tears in his eyes he used his backpack as a pillow and laid himself to sleep.

EARTH-TWO; SOMEWHERE IN SPACE

"We need help, this battle is beyond us," said Cobalt Comet to Captain Supreme.

The monsters advanced, and every move made by Captain Supreme and his team to stop them seemed to be a waste, these monsters were from another world, they had come to this multiverse to establish their reign and conquer every planet that made up this multiverse Captain Supreme and his team were in.

"Send a broadcast throughout our multiverse," said Captain Supreme to Cobalt Comet.

"Go," He said, "we'll hold them off."

"No Captain, I can't leave you here," said Cobalt Comet.

"Just go, we'll hold them, go find help and that's an order," Captain Supreme said with a note of finality, his voice carrying authority.

He was pushed back to the ship by Jordan Flame and Wonder Man, into a smaller spaceship that was attached to the main one.

"Look Cobalt" Wonder Man sighed, "Captain Supreme is right, as much as you wanna help truth be told we need back up".

Cobalt looked at Wonder Man in surprise, then at Jordan Flame.

"What's he still doing there, get him outta here now," Captain Supreme said in anger shooting aggressively at an Alien that held Queen Moth.

"Be seeing you around my friend, but in case we don't make it, promise me you'll save the world" Wonder Man said to Cobalt Comet,

"I promise, I'll go get help." Cobalt Comet said as the spaceship launched back to Earth.

Cobalt Comet had no choice but to comply, with tears in his eyes he went back to Earth leaving behind the team to fight the aliens. When he got back to Earth he broke out with the speed of light to Tempest Lab, their base of operation.

"Cobalt Comet what happened out there, where are the others?" Asked Dr. Crimson.

"They're still out there, Captain Supreme me back so we could send a message to the other worlds asking superheroes to join us in fighting this war else our multiverse will be destroyed." Said Cobalt Comet.

"Dr. Crimson get Ray and Nika to power on the interdimensional communicator, this could be our last hope of defeating those aliens."

Ray and Nika walked in, "What's the situation Cobalt" Ray asked, "where's everyone"

"They're still out there" Cobalt Comet replied changing into his time suit.

"Wait I don't understand, if they're still out there, why are you here?" Ray asked the countenance on his face changing.

Cobalt Comet let out a deep sigh "Captain Supreme sent me back to find help, we need more hands back there. It's why I came back to pass the message across to seek help." Cobalt Comet said looking sad and guilty.

Silence.

Dr. Crimson broke the silence.

"Ray, help Nika power on the interdimensional communicator, we're about to send a broadcast message to other planets in our multiverse for help, it's Captain Supreme's last wish" Dr. Crimson had said.

Ray wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his palm and went to help Nika turn the broadcast machine on, Dr. Crimson was to pass the message across while the message would be transmitted through the time vault. This was where Cobalt Comet came in. He would run at the speed of Mach 2.5 through time spreading the word around the different worlds in the multiverse.

"Is the communicator ready?" Dr. Crimson asked Ray.

"It is ready," Ray said giving the thumbs up.

"Are you ready Cobalt Comet?" Dr. Crimson asked Cobalt.

"Ready when you are" He replied.

"Ok good, open the time vault" Dr. Crimson signaled to Nika.

Nika opened the time vault and Cobalt Comet went in.

"Now remember," Dr. Crimson said from over the microphone in the control room, "you're going to have to run at the speed of Mach 2.5 for this broadcast message to work, got it? She asked

"Got it"

Cobalt Comet took a deep breath and took off. His speed was an unquenchable thirst, his power a thorough intention, every step he took left behind a trail of sonic boom with electricity running through his body. His run was through space and time, with lightning bolts for feet, his power a true grace in the multiverse.

"Ahhhhhhh" he screamed, adding more force and exerting more energy.

"What was that?" Nika asked.

"He just passed Mach 3" Replied Ray excitedly, "Dr. Crimson you can go now"

"Thank you, Ray"

"Attention all heroes of the multiverse, we need your assistance. A crisis of immense proportion threatens to destroy our world, and we must band together to stop it. We call upon your strength, your courage, and your powers to join us in this fight. The fate of our world rests in our hands, and we cannot do this alone. Please respond to this call for help and join us in saving our home. Together, we can defeat any enemy. Thank you."

The message echoed through the time vault as Cobalt ran, it transmitted through the multiverse until they were sure it had reached every world they had sent it to.
