Prologue of the New Soul Deal

It was heavily raining as each droplet resonated throughout the area. A figure was running through the wet sidewalk while heavily panting for air. The figure was a beautiful lady who was currently holding a baby under her arms. She was a mother chased by people who wanted her baby dead.

She continued running through the wet walkway as the thuds and steps of those that were chasing her echoed on the ground. She felt a chill on her spine as she didn't dare to stop. She ran and ran away as tears escaped from her eyes. Why did this happen? Why was she so unfortunate?

She was a former shrine maiden for a particular clan in an island country within the far east. Her name was Hahano Ai, a lady in her 20s. The particular clan was known as the Jungin Clan. The biggest clan in the east prefecture. A place where warriors were born with the intention of protecting the country.
