Congress Approval!

"There is no chance of the Controlling Shares?" The Director asked as they were now over a desk table where they had put everything literally over it.

The Prime Minister was also there. However, he was sitting while the two prominent people were standing with their hands on their borders, trying to get a bird's Eye View of the whole table.

"None. The Imperial Textile Company is not for my wealth but for the direct benefit of my Empire. 45% of the Shares will become public for anyone to buy, including your estimated economist of London and the rest of the UK." Felipe explained.

"…"

The Imperial Textile Company now held many patents, and the Sewing Machine was a major part of this.

"I am only willing to talk about licensing and creating workshops here for your company to sell my products under my name. Understandably, you are not interested in that, as shown by the letter you sent me." Felipe continued, literally quarreling with his loan sharks.

"Then I am afraid we will not see any substantial deduction of your 4.47 Million Pounds that your family has with us." Henry, the company director, pointed out that the only reason they were doing business with him was that he was on top, and Felipe was in a disadvantageous position.

"That is okay. The moment the flood gates of the Sewing Machines are opened, we will see how poor women who used to depend on sewing work would pass hunger," Felipe added with some coldness in his breath.

It was true that with every impactful technology used to produce things, hundreds of thousands and even millions of people would become unemployed.

"… That seems like a threat." The Prime Minister said with narrowed eyes.

"It is not a threat, but what will happen? Your Grace is the Prime Minister of the UK and should know what I am saying about it. I am not lying; that will happen, and it will be harsh. Any small tailoring place that does not have one of my new machines will go under for sure." Felipe shook his head as he pushed a paper to the center of it.

"This is our business plan… create mass places where employees are there to sow just like they are already here, but instead of doing it by hand, they will do it with the Sewing Machine. That would consist of a large investment in clothing shops and an initial investment as each of the Machines will cost 29.99 Pounds per unit" (2462.5 - 2024 Pounds).

"… It is costly." The Prime Minister said as he felt it was just too much.

"It shows on its efficiency; I'll monopolize it."

"You thought of that from the Matches Company, yet there they are," The Director of the East India Company said while looking at the Sewing Machine diagram.

"Yes. It took over a decade, which I thought would take less, but that is that." Felipe said with a bit of an annoying tone. "There will be something that does what this does in more than 200 years, that I can Assure you just like the fact that the efficiency that this machine, if used properly, can create an efficiency which does not have any type of comparison… Gentlemen, this machine will break the industry so much that it will not be funny."

"How can we make deals on something we have no recollection of ever seeing or touching." The Director asked.

"Well, my words are as valuable as the timely payments of my family's debt. Plus, I am not asking for money. I will not take money from you right now. I am more interested in lowering my debt to create a compromise between us, two parties… three parties in reality.

"What that would be?"

"We will not always be the main owners of sewing machines as we do not intend to hoard them; however, creating a large show is essential for a nation, as mass orders of things like military uniforms and such… in other words, the idea would be having a large portion of the market through the investment of mass ordering of the machines," Felipe said as he simply just looked at the other paper.

"The next thing would be the creation of a lending program… the machine will have a steep price, but it will be made to cost as it will require massive amounts of investment to create any type of factory already," Felipe added.

"There is no way that single thing is worth 30 pounds."

"I am afraid each piece requires incredible craftsmanship, unlike the people using them."

"Then how the company will make money?"

"Interests and Classes," Felipe added.

"Even though it is intuitive, it requires many hours to master fully. There, you can charge for people to come and proficient themselves in the art of the machine… provide a certificate and create a profit school… 3 pounds for a person who has not bought it, and 1.5 Pounds for the person who has bought it… a 3 Months Course after all. As for selling the machines, the East India Company will set up a bank from which a buyer could create reasonable weekly or monthly payments to buy off the thing… Collecting a total of 15 pounds over two years over their costs. And, of course, they can sell for more if they buy it all full in front to offset the machine being sold at a cost."

Felipe was factoring in all the Imperial Slaves that the Empire had to buy and much, much more, which were used to lay the foundation for a manufacturing line in the country.

"Now the fun part... pieces and parts… the machine has hundreds of parts that eventually will break down, and you can charge three times what they cost… while at the same time offering a guarantee for 6-9 Months for any buyer… all in all, the services will be the only thing making money in the operation."

"…" The director looked to his accountant, who showed him numbers he had calculated from the other detailed part of the business case.

It was a long time with the Abacus.

"It does indeed add up at the very end."

"Yes, so the preposition will be a lowering of interest from 20% to 10% of the debt that the Aragon Family has obtained from the Bank of England plus an immigration deal with the Government of the UK and, of course, the East India Company," Felipe added as he smiled at the tense faces of the people in the room.

"That would be a lot." The Director said as he looked at the sum already calculated by Felipe and his people. "Especially adding up the interest of Your Majesty according to Catholic Europeans. A ticket to the Americas is not free."

"Here is where we are willing to cooperate with the British Government." Felipe looked at the Prime minister and gave the duke a copy of the immigration plan.

"We intend to bring around 1 million people from Ireland or so. An impressive number, however, is that we will be providing 50 acres to 150 acres of permanent family land under the Empire for them to develop." Felipe added, and everyone in the room paid attention to it.

To put it into context, the population of the Colombian Empire right now is just around 4 million people. Adding 1 Million would mean that 20% of the population would be complete foreigners from Ireland.

"We do not have ships… at least not yet. But this would be a joint venture between the three parties, as the three of us are interested in this happening," Felipe added.

"…"

"If I am not wrong, your Grace was born in Dublin, so you must understand the type of discrimination that Irish people face in parts of the United Kingdom, such as London and the greater part of England. Now I understand that you were born protestant but, at the same time, must understand the extra discrimination that the Catholic Irish get."

The Duke of Wellington was not fully Irish. However, he was Irish Enough to understand what Felipe was saying, even if he was from the nobility.

"My proposal is simple: cover the cost ticket of a Catholic Irish man willing to move to the Empire, and we will be subsidized as well. You will get rid of 1+ Million Irish over ten years or so," Felipe added. This will be incredibly expensive no matter how you put it…. But the reality of things is… we are willing to do so as war has scared our country and much more."

"This price is still too high." The director was quite surprised at how prepared Felipe was at the moment. For any calculation, he would have entire paper sheets with the exact calculation, as if he were already predicting what they were asking; it even made them feel Claustrophobic.

"I understand that the British Government is trying to maintain order in the Irish Isle. Yet, it finds itself dealing with constant insurgence and jails full of rebels looking to top off the British rule on them… it just so happens that the majority in such activities are Catholic protesting a protest and rule… here we are adding the value of the stability of the UK by taking 1 million Irish from the Back of the UK… even if this price was even more, I am sure that constant insurgence suppression would be much more costly rather than an easy subsidy and travel trans-Atlantic for a cost in a joint venture."

"… This… I would not have any authority on this matter; it would need Congress approval after all."

"Understandable. Large quantities of money are being put into place, and it is just fair, but, in the conditions in which I present this joint Venture, we will all be gaining huge benefits from the mass importation of Irish to my Empire. From the creation of many Irish Selling off their belongings, land, and houses to pay for an already cheap passage to the industry created around the mass transit of Irish to the Colombian Empire, plus, we would get a lot of culture from the UK, furtherly creating a future relationship between countries."

"…"

Oh yeah, I love stacking chapters, I willl do this more often.
