The following day, just an hour before the treasure hunt was set to begin, Philip, Doug, Gerald, and Conrad stood on the expansive field alongside other exceptional individuals.
Philip cast a sorrowful glance at the wooden puppet Gerald, whose username was "AChangedMan001." Doug also directed his attention to Gerald, focusing on the puppet's hands as they struggled to form signs and symbols.
Sharing a moment of understanding, Philip and Doug made eye contact and exchanged a wry smile. Gerald's poor dexterity even extended to his control over magic, rendering him unable to use it effectively. It was evident that he needed extensive practice.
From Gerald, Philip learned that a half-magician like them could attain an elemental attribute by channeling their mana into one of the four basic elements: fire, water, earth, and wind.
