"You're here?" Philip asked, his mood heavy. Although he was grateful that Conrad was safe, he still couldn't help but be shocked by his unexpected arrival.
"From what I've heard, it takes two weeks to travel to Semion's fief. If I calculate back and forth, Conrad needs one month," Philip mused, "But it's only been one week!"
"Ah, yeah..." Conrad scratched his cheeks in embarrassment, as though his lie had been exposed, "Well, let me explain."
While Philip's eyes flickered with suspicion, he still walked inside and sat on the nearby chair. He then let Conrad talk.
"This was what happened to me," Conrad began, recounting the events of the past week.
"It's true that I intended to travel and visit my mother. I had already boarded a horse carriage at that time when suddenly I found myself standing in Alma Inn's lobby, but everything was inverted."
