Fred's face turned red from anger.
"My father advocates the dean's effort in providing education to the poor. That's why I'm here. Otherwise, if my mom made the decision, I would have been in another academy.", he said.
Fen could hear a gurgling sound coming from his stomach. On normal days, he wouldn't mind arguing with Fred. However, he was starving now.
"Young master Fred, could you let us go, please? The time for breakfast is almost up. We haven't eaten any meals for the past three days.", Fen pleaded.
Leo's ears perked up. They haven't eaten for 3 days?
"That's right, young master Fred. We've only been eating grass growing beside our homes.", Shen chipped in weakly.
"We've only been eating grass- Oh, how pitiful," Fred's followers mimicked Shen's voice in a high-pitched manner before laughing at them. Fred also joined in their laughter feat.
