Chapter 61: Stabilizing My Daily Life Part 2

From what I heard from the girls, the café club's closing time was at 7:00 PM, but due to my appearance today, things got complicated. When closing time came, none of the customers wanted to leave; they were waiting for me to come out of the private room where I was taking refuge. Seeing that they would not leave until I came out, I did what any reasonable person would do in such a situation. I escaped through a window at the back of the building while using magic to distort the light around me.

After that, I called Seunghae and told her that I had escaped and that she could let the customers search for me until they got tired and gave up.

And that's what they did. The problem was that after 2 hours of searching and past 9:00 PM, the customers did not seem anywhere close to giving up, even though they had already checked every corner of the place almost inch by inch. So, I told the girls to escape and abandon the café. Even if they didn't close the shop, with the crazy fanatics there, there was no way anyone would break in to steal, and the customers were mostly high-society girls, so I doubted they would want to steal anything from a café unless they were kleptomaniacs.

The girls were very tired; Yuri went back to her house, and we went to ours. At home, I finally found Hyung, Hyo-ri Noona, and little Jungseok, but since it was late, they had already eaten and were about to go to sleep. Seeing that the girls also looked very tired, Hyung and Noona gave us our space.

As for us, well, the girls really looked exhausted after the hectic day. Jinhee went straight to sleep in her room, and we went to ours. Although Seonhwa seemed very excited a few hours ago, now there was only fatigue on her face. When we arrived at our room, Seonhwa, Roe, and Seunghae collapsed on the bed, not even bothering to change into more comfortable clothes or take off their shoes, so I had to help them with that and arrange them so they wouldn't wake up with body aches.

After I finished arranging them, I lay down with them, and shortly after, they managed, despite being tired and sleepy, to snuggle up with me, and that's how we spent the night. Although I only slept a couple of hours before being fully refreshed, and when I woke up, there were still several hours before dawn, but I didn't mind or get bothered. I felt very happy just lying there, cuddled up with the girls. All these months in the Neutral Zone made me miss them a lot.

When the sun's rays finally began to appear, I got up carefully not to wake the girls and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for them. In the kitchen, I found Hyung and Noona.

"I told you, he would come straight to cook after his return. A month without being present and taking care of his girlfriends has to be compensated, and what better way to do it than to cook them some addictive food," said Hyung, laughing.

"Yes, you win," said Noona as she handed a 10,000 Won bill to Hyung and then said, "I really thought they would be trapped in their room until noon, but I guess I underestimated how tired the girls were. Last night I saw them without energy, but I guess they were worse off than they seemed."

"It seems you're having fun making bets at our expense. I guess there's no winner's breakfast for you," I said, half annoyed and half amused, seeing how Hyung and Noona reacted.

"Come on Jihu, you know it's just a harmless joke between us. Besides, you still owe us for snitching on us to the family at the hospital," Hyung said, trying to charge me for selling him out when Aunt Seonmi had woken up from her coma.

"Don't forget when he also revealed that I was pregnant... And we were hoping to keep it as a surprise," Noona said, looking at me accusingly.

"That's why I was asking, what would you like for breakfast? The best Hyung and Noona in the world," I said, trying to change the subject.

They just laughed a little, and then we had a small chat about how they have been and what has happened this past month while I was preparing breakfast. Since time in Lost Paradise runs three times faster, the three months I spent in the Neutral Zone were only one month on Earth.

To my surprise, I didn't have to wake up the girls; they woke up on their own and came down for breakfast almost at the same time I had finished cooking, and we shared a family breakfast while chatting.

"You should have seen Oppa; he looked super funny without a jacket, tie, shoes, disheveled, and the funniest thing is that he had an opening in the back of his pants where they even took his underwear," Seonhwa told Hyung and Noona about what happened yesterday. And since Hyung was drinking water at that exact moment, he couldn't help but laugh and ended up spewing the water through his nose while choking.

Noona also laughed, but luckily she wasn't drinking anything and did not have an accident.

"I see, being so popular isn't as good as one might think," Hyung said as he wiped his face with a napkin.

"There's something I don't understand, how did Jihu become so popular?" Noona asked, and automatically; Seunghae, Seonhwa, Hyung, and I turned our gaze to Jinhee. Realizing that we were staring at her, she shrank and tried to look smaller so we wouldn't notice her, clearly in vain, and she had no choice but to tell Noona the story.

"It's not my fault, I was just learning to use social media, and by accident, instead of sending a video I had recorded of Oppa being cool to my friends in a private channel, I sent it to a public channel by mistake, and it quickly went viral. By the end of the day, Oppa was already famous, and from there, his fame only continued to increase," Jinhee said, but instead of looking guilty, she looked proud, as if she had achieved a great feat.

"So that's how it happened, but it's strange, I've never seen such a video, I'm sure I would remember it," Noona said, puzzled.

"Well, due to the nature of the video, I was able to contact the communication companies that managed those networks, and the video was deleted a few hours after it was released. However, some copies are still saved on the private devices of some people, but the video quickly went out of circulation, and any attempt to re-upload it was prevented or immediately deleted," I explained to the family at that time. What I didn't say is that I was the behind-the-scenes owner of those companies, and I used all my power to remove that video from the network, but the damage was already done. After that, I became famous, and then my fame only continued to rise for other things that no longer made sense and that I couldn't control.

"Now with all that revelation, I would like to see the video that made Jihu so popular," said Noona. But at her words, the reaction of all those present who knew about the video was the same; Seonhwa, Seunghae, Jinhee, Hyung, and I said it at the same time as if rehearsed,""NO!""

"That video should not be seen by anyone who has not seen it. From the beginning, it was my mistake to allow it to be recorded, and I will do everything in my power to prevent any girl who has not seen it from seeing it," I said, and everyone who knew about the video agreed with me. But my words only made Noona and Roe, who also hadn't seen the video, feel more curious.

"It's true, Unnie, it's better that you don't see it. The destructive power of that video is over 9000! No married woman should ever see it. I even feel sorry for the single girls who saw it; they will surely never be satisfied for the rest of their lives. Most of Oppa's crazy fans were the ones who saw the video; the rest of Oppa's fans are mostly normal," said Seunghae, blushing just remembering it.

"You really only make me more curious, but if you say so much, then I won't press further," said Noona, and we all let out a sigh of relief.

Then I told Roe that I would show it to her later when we were alone since she, as my girlfriend, can see it without a problem.

"Jihu, how did it go in Roe's world? Have you been in danger? If things look difficult, it's better to look for another alternative than to expose yourself to risk," Hyung asked with concern.

"Leaving aside the problem of pests, it's a great place. As for how it went, well, I would say good, I have the situation under control. As for the danger, yes, the place is dangerous, but I have managed to stay safe and advance with my plans to save the place. So you don't have to worry. If my plans go well, in 1 or 2 years that place will be safe, and even you will be able to go there for tourism," I said, trying to reassure everyone present who was worried and Roe, who looked quite distressed because, except for Seonhwa, Roe is the one who knows best about the situation in Lost Paradise.

"I understand, will you have to leave for another month soon, or will you be able to spend some time with us before returning?" Hyung asked.

"Only during the entrance test is it required to be there for such a long consecutive time. Now that I've passed that test, I can come and go as I please. However, to maintain stability in both places and to progress with my plans, I've decided to spend 12 hours here every day, and the rest of the time I'll spend on the other side. Well, unless something unexpected happens that requires me to spend more time on that side, but even if that happens, I won't go for more than a few days in a row," I said, and that's the plan from now on.

"I'll spend half a day on Earth and the rest of the half-day in that place, which will be equivalent to a day and a half in that world since time runs three times faster there. And if something happens that requires me to be there longer, at most it will be something that requires me being there for a week or two, which would be equal to 2 or 4 days on Earth."

Hearing my explanation, Hyung was quite satisfied, and the girls seemed happy to know that I would spend half a day here every day, which fits well with their current schedules since they now work at the café club half a day, which is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, to cover for Seonhwa, who is following the same schedule I decided on.

Soon we finished breakfast, and the girls went to get ready since Jinhee and Seunghae were going to University classes until noon, and Seonhwa and Roe were going to the café club.

Hyung also went to get ready to go to work, and Noona went to wake up little Jungseok to have breakfast and then get him ready to go out to the park again, where he has some friends his age with whom he plays every day.

As for me, I was left alone with nothing to do. As much as I would like to accompany the girls, we all agreed that it was better for everyone that I stay away from that café club.

So I took my phone and thought about talking to my parents and uncle & auntie, but I know they are enjoying their vacation abroad, and if they know I'm back, they might decide to cut it short return, so it's better not to tell them now and let them find out when they finally come back. So instead, I decided to call Odelette at the number she gave me before we said our goodbyes, and when I dialed the number, she didn't take long to answer, "Hello, who is this? It's an unknown number and it's quite late at night. If you don't identify yourself and state your purpose, I will hang up and block the number," Odelette said in French and with a rather sleepy voice. I guess I woke her up because of the time difference; here it's almost 7:00 AM, but there it's about to be 00:00 AM since the time difference is 7 hours ahead in Korea compared to France.

I laughed a little, but before she could hang up the call, I spoke, "I see that a certain naughty girl was not able to memorize her boyfriend's number. I suppose I'll have to punish her."

"Mr. Jihu! I'm very upset. I don't remember having a boyfriend who doesn't even bother to call me to say goodnight. Because of you, I haven't been able to sleep for hours waiting for your call," she said in an angry tone, but I know she's angry because I woke her up rather than not being able to sleep.

"I'm the one who should be angry. I've been waiting for your call all day, but you didn't call, and now that I call you, I realize it was because you forgot my number," I said in a sad tone, and she started laughing.

"Well, then we're even, so tell me, Mr. Jihu, to what do I owe the pleasure of your call at such late hours of the night?" she said now in a flirtatious tone.

"I was missing my girlfriend and wanted to wish her goodnight, but I had to wait until it was quite late at night so that the FBI would be resting and not worry about tracking me," I said.

Odelette was clearly amused by the FBI comment, but it was evident that sleep was getting the better of her, so I wished her goodnight and we said goodbye with a telephonic kiss.

Then, with nothing else to do on Earth for the next 12 hours, I decided to simply return to Paradise and continue dealing with matters there. I still have many things to do, and I don't know when the Parasite Queen will launch her next attack, but what I can be sure of is that the next time will not be a small-scale attack, it will be a full-scale assault. But until that moment comes, I will continue to ensure that my plan is developing in the best possible way.
