“Best get it over with,”
he said under his breath as he unlatched his seatbelt and climbed
out of the car.
Standing at the front door
waiting for admittance, Paul couldn’t help being reminded of the
last time he had stood there, and what he found when he’d been let
in. His thoughts were interrupted by the door being opened, by

“He should be back within
