The car was stopped by the police.
The two officers walked up to them.
"Licence and registration, please."
Stella handed over the documents. She was inwardly blaming herself for listening to Korede and allowing him to egg her on.
"Do you know you were speeding, miss?"
"Actually officers, I was the one who told her to speed up. There's an emergency and I have to get to the Ministry of Defence as soon as possible." Korede made up a lie as he handed over his ID to the officer by his window side.
The officer passed the ID to his partner by Stella's side.
The partner's eyes flickered a bit when he saw the ID.
