A group of Spec Ops operators are saved from the jaws of death by the intervention of the Supreme Law of Time. After waking from a coma, the team's leader finds himself bound to an alien symbiote. And thanks to the symbiote, the team is thrust into the hidden world of Will awakeners; individuals who use their Will to harness superhuman abilities. As if that wasn't bad enough, the team accidentally uncover a conspiracy by a powerful shadow organisation which then puts them in the central position in the fight against the organisation and their nefarious plans for the world. Aon looked down on the two remaining Alpha Squad members, Abdul-Lateef and Mary.
[It doesn't matter who I choose anyways. Ladies first then.]
Its figure flashed and appeared before Mary who was reading a book on the history of cloth designs.
[Enjoying yourself?]
"Not really. Kind of wish I hadn't read it."
Aon took a seat opposite her.
[Why not?] It asked, curious.
"It feels like history is repeating itself. We aren't really making new designs, just innovating what already exists." She sighed. "I was hoping to get inspiration for new designs by seeing the progression of history but now…"
[All you see is lack of progress you humans have made in recent history.]
"Exactly."
Aon smiled.
