50. Girl's outing

Jerome's POV

I watched the whole room erupt in laughter as we all drank and celebrated. Men surrounded the large mahagony table where we usually dine as a whole. The whole brothers.

From the head of the table was me , my grandfather's seat on my right. Eloit on my left because he was my right hand man and best friend. I had to choose a right hand  man and no one would have fitted in that position like him. Then followed other Mafia bosses who couldn't miss the event.

They were all young just like  I was. Their parents passed them the positions a few years back but differently  meaning that all of them had been in this game longer than I was. But to be honest I did it better than any of them and they knew that.

Food was sent to all those on duty and guarding the warehouses and other business we owned.

They were all happy I could tell. But I wasn't.

"Mom can I have more of that," he says pointing a dish of pasta salad.
