I put a hand on my heaving chest as I perked my ears for any sign that he was getting closer. Not that he wasn't already. We just needed him to be really really close before Lise and I could start running again. On the bright side, at least I've still got his attention despite most of us actually being gone from his sight. Already, I could hear the sounds of industry slowly beginning to grumble again as my fellow Nenners got to work on my stupid idea.
