Shattered Sky

A windy, stormy day brewed violently, and a swirl of angst and danger swelled in the air as a battle between true monsters took place within these abyssal mountains, a battle that shook all those who could feel the shocks of this battle. A day of terror! That is what many will remember it as.

Arthur could be seen standing on a demolished mountaintop, rocks still tumbling down the side, yet he stood firm, his muscles tensed and his spear straight. His face steeled with determination and excitement as something formed at the tip of his spear.

The storm in the sky thundered in retaliation, causing the sky to darken even further as bolts of hot lightning rained down upon the already scorched earth below. Yet, within its deepest depths, a single light shone bright. A deep, blood-red light vibrated intensely, showing its eagerness to be revealed to the world beyond.

The two entities stood opposite, one a living natural disaster, unstoppable for ages, and on the other a human that grew beyond limits unforeseen. Strength against strength!

Neither faltered nor looked intimidated at the other. Both wanted to obliterate the other as they readied their strongest attacks yet.

Arthur's came first, as the black hole-like energy formed at the tip of his spear as if it was sucking in everything around it. Light, air, mana, dirt, and even sound were sucked into this darkening light of perpetual darkness. Nothing was saved from being absorbed!

His spear was then pulled backward by both his arms as the suctioning power only increased with time, and if one looked closely, his fingers were intensely and fastly twirling around the spear. Even more amazingly, the spear was spinning! Faster than anyone could see! So fast it looked like it was still, stalk still!

But he pulled it back while he continued to spin it as fast as he could, causing literal steam to come off his fingers. And, after his spear was tightly wound up to his rear and his muscle taunt, he thrusted forward as aggressively and intensely as he could. The air howled in pain as cracks formed in the air around him and the mountain he stood upon!

The spear then stopped as he pushed it out as far as he could from his body, as sweat came off his body and steam rose up! He exhaled briefly before he gazed upon his attack that shot out from the tip of his spear.

A terrifying attack that brought doom upon the region! A dark, devouring force of energy shot out towards the storm that blazed in the sky. It continued to pull in everything around it, and even the sky itself was not left alone, as it turned black and empty in return.

Yet, before the attack could reach the living storm, it finished its own preparations, releasing an equally devasting attack of its own, down upon the foe that trespassed in its way. A lightning bolt so red that it felt like a beating heart full of blood! It eviscerated the air it passed through to travel forward.

Both attacks passed each other without contact, each going towards their respective target! Unstoppable, unbelievable, uncontainable, and unsurvivable! That is what the aura of these attacks radiated from their mere presence in this world.

Two large booms broke out, shattering the very sound of the world as two vibrant colors swallowed the vision of the sky! Red on one side and black on the other. Both vying for dominance over the other. And then, the sky shattered! It broke like cracking glass!

The entirety of the world heard the sound that followed as the sky shattered to pieces! A vast emptiness and coldness began to enter the world through the broken sky. But, before any more damage could be done, a divine power intervened.

An enormous white hand covered the world, mending it piece by piece, bringing the sky back together and preventing the endless space above from invading down.

The hand then dissipated as if it was never present, but everyone in the world saw it high above in the sky. Present like an eternal guardian, protecting the world itself and leaving many to wonder what caused the sky to shatter in the first place!

Back to the battle that evoked such effects on the world, there was vast damage present in the area. The storm barely held together as it lightly floated in the sky, but many holes filled the dark clouds, preventing it from fully holding together as it once did. No more thunder sounded out from it, and no more lightning rained down. The wind calmed once more as silence prevailed.

On the other side, the mountain that once stood there is now gone, leaving nothing but a gaping hole in the earth. So deep that only darkness could be seen, giving true meaning to the Abyssal Mountains.

Yet, a man jumped out of the abyss. His figure was blurry and indeterminate, but still, he made it out. A single man!

Arthur, he had survived! Once out of the abyss, he stood still, breathing hard as his body ached in pain. Pain he had not felt in quite a long time.

His body was heavily injured. Blood caked his body as hundreds of wounds showed themselves upon his body. He, who had once worn clothes to blend in the human cities, was now once again mostly naked as pieces of torn cloth were scattered across his damaged body.

There was one large gash that stood out amongst the rest of his injuries. A gash that went from his left eye all the way down to his stomach. It bled profusely as his eye was closed, most likely gone entirely from the attack.

But, he did not seem upset at all; instead, he looked happy, happier than he had ever looked in the last thousand years. His smile beamed across his face as he licked the blood from his lips.

"GAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that was exciting! Again! Let's do this one more fucking time, Skyvanus!" Arthur yelled in an eager, fanatical voice towards the storm that shook slightly at his words.

Arthur stood there, his spear tightly gripped in his bloody hand as he eagerly looked towards the living storm above as if anticipating a similar response to himself. But his face then quickly turned into pure shock and sadness!

"NO! Where the fuck do you think you are going?! Come back here and fight me!" Arthur yelled in anger and betrayal as the broken storm just turned around and floated away as fast as it could. "Fuck you!"

Arthur tried to move forward to stop it, but he bent over as he coughed out some blood, yet stood back up and took a single step. Yet, he could move no further as his body screamed at him to stop and rest. It hurt more than he had felt in a long time. More than he thought he would.

"Shit. This is all I could take?" He mutters to himself in disappointment.

He just stood there, unable to move or even sit down to rest. All he could do was stand.
