Today's game is kinda a big deal for both Mitsui and the team, for him is to prove himself and a chance for the team into semi-finals or even a finals appearance for the first time.

"Anzai-sensei, I think it's better to let Mitsui have a rest... He's already look very tired..." Kogure said.

Mitsui is playing more than twenty-five minutes; he averages eighteen minutes in the past four games and he's currently playing almost thirty minutes.

"Right... Even though he's a former star player back in the day... however the two years off, plus the opponent is a strong Shoyo team. Feeling tired is only natural when facing such opponent." Ayako said.

"I'll go warm-up then!" Kogure stood up and took-off his training shirt.

"Kogure-kun! I won't force him to come-off." Coach wants to let Mitsui play more and experienced facing a strong team.

"I understand, Anzai-sensei... " Kogure said and return to his seat.

In the court, Akagi went Mitsui and said, "We have to split Shoyo's defense, everyone will keep passing the ball to you so be ready, Mitsui!"

"Heh... Becoming captain really even made the tone become bossy! Who 're you to order me around, Akagi?" Mitsui smirked at him.

"Hmp... You!!" Akagi was interrupted by another problem child.

"You think you can outscore, Rukawa? You need at least ten years to do that, idiot!!" Akagi replied.

"Nope, even a hundred years won't be enough, Akagi" Mitsui said.

"Damn it! You! Gori and Mit-chi!!" Sakuragi said.

"You instead should focus on getting rebounds. Your rebounding skill is something to look forward to, Sakuragi!" Akagi said.

"Defend according to the plan we discussed earlier" Fujima shouted.

"Shoyo!!! 3x" shouted by their cheering squad.

"All rebounds are mine!!" Sakuragi said to Shoyo player defending him.

"Try if you can!" Shoyo player replied.

"Defense! There's still ten minutes left in the game!" shouted by their cheering squad.

"Triple teamed! Even though it's Akagi-senpai, it's still hard for one to go against three!!" Ayako said from the bench.

"Mitsui!!" Akagi jumped high and throw the ball towards Mitsui's direction.

"Yeah!!" Mitsui got ball and read to shoot it.

Hasegawa jump quickly for the block, he's determined to defend Mitsui and lock him down.

"Don't let him shoot freely! Guard Mitsui!" Fujima said.

As the ball going to be block, Mitsui waited until he got contact and release a high-arching three ball.

"Swish!!" the ball entered and a possible four point play.

"Fweeett!" referee whistled and answered the prayer of Shohoku.

"Basket counted and one! Foul on Shoyo no. six!" the game announcer said.

"Yaaahh! Sixteen points! Too easy!" Mitsui shouted while receiving the enthusiasm of fellow Shohoku players and the crowd. (Mitsui scored 15 in this play)

"Mitsui!!" Kogure and the bench players shouted his name.

"Nice shot, Mitsui!" Ayako jumped her seat and celebrated the play w/ the bench.

"Damn it! 2x" Hasegawa was frustrated, he failed again to defend Mitsui's shot and added a foul to his name.

"There's still seven minutes left in the game, Shohoku 48 vs. 44 Shoyo, Shohoku is leading by four." Hikoichi said.

"Calm down, Hasegawa! The game is not yet finish, stay focus on your task and don't let him score easily!" Hanagata and Fujima came to him and he raises his hand in acknowledgement.

"Sorry, I was certain that block was on point but it backfired to me!" he said.

"Same here! So be careful w/ the fakes and his shot timing, Hasegawa!" Fujima reminded him of these few things.

"Okay! I got it, Fujima..." he replied.

"One free throw!" the referee passes the ball to him.

Mitsui signals Akagi for a rebound, he intends to miss it and get another possession. Akagi nodded to him and he will retreat back to the perimeter for a pass.

He throws the ball a little strong; it actually bounces back and returned to his direction. He got the rebound; Mitsui dribbles it on top and asked Akagi for a screen again.

After getting rid of his defender, he immediately shoots and the ball flies like a rainbow into the hoop.

"Swish!!" it hit nothing but the net. . (Mitsui scored 18 in this play)

Mitsui raise his three fingers over his head, saying to Hasegawa that he scored another three over his defense

"Whoa!!!" the reaction of the crowd, as he scored another three and extend the lead of Shohoku.

You're the best, Mitsui!" Kogure and the bench players went crazy and kept on waving theirs towels.

"Nice shot, Mitsui!" Ayako celebrated along w/ the team.

"You're awesome, Mitsui-senpai!"

"My new idol is Mitsui-senpai" Sakuragi's gang is going crazy in stands.

"Isn't Shohoku's no. fourteen our recently move neighbor, Dear?" Sakura's Dad asked.

"I think so... I and Sakura saw him last night while I was about to throw our garbage. Their house was newly renovated, a lot of luxury cars can be seen in their garage and he's handsome young man. What you think Sakura-chan? Her mother asked.

"Mom!! He's rich and handsome, then so what? Let's just watch the game!" Sakura replied.

"Hmn... ooh really, he's looks cool and kinda like Dad, isn't it Honey?" her mother asked.

"Hehehe... A little bit handsome..." her dad said.

"Just watch the game, guys!!" Sakura said.

"Defense!!! 3x" Shohoku's bench and the gang said.

"Let's go, Shoyo!!! 3x" they're still cheering hard for the team.

Both fans are cheering their respective teams and it echoed over the arena.

"Mitsui-senpai has been trapped by their defense all game long...." Yasuda said.

"In order to free himself, he constantly moving around the court and it's affecting his weak physic" another Shohoku rookie said.

"This game is Mitsui's first time playing this high level game and will be tough for him." Kogure said.

"The game's result is in the hands of Sakuragi and Mitsui. They are the key to this game, Sakuragi-kun has level-up his rebounding skill and his rebound allowed us took back the control under the basket.

However, this is still not enough for us to win and to achieve a win. We need Mitsui-kun's strength. Even though he's very tired, I still can't let him out of the game" Coach explained.

"There's still six minutes left in the game, Shohoku 51 vs. 44 Shoyo, Shohoku is leading by four." Hikoichi said.

"Hisashi Mitsui! I'm gonna beat you!" Hasegawa said.
