The butterfly flew over to her finger again and fluttered back to the windowsill. On the rim of the sill, there was a mysterious symbol, shimmering blue.
Blue, just like this cute little butterfly.
"What is this? How did it come here?" she gazed back at her busy family They were all surrounding Mina to notice this weird occurrence. As much as she enjoyed the little blue butterfly, she did not want to make a mess of Clive's office. She went to wipe the symbol with her sleeve.
"Stop!" a voice whispered next to her.
"Who?" Reya whispered, gazing around. The butterfly fluttered over her face and landed on the symbol again.
"it's me!" a small voice whispered again.
Reya even looked down from the window but she was not able to find anyone. "Who is it? Come out?" she softly whispered. She kept her voice low because she did not want to cause mindless panic caused by some mysterious voice.
"It's me!" the voice exclaimed. "Look down!"
Reya gazed down at the little blue butterfly in her palm. "You....you can talk!" she exclaimed in a soft voice.
"It's me, Artemis!," the little blue butterfly said.
For a moment, Reya could not believe that this cute little creature was the mighty goddess she saw last time. "Did you shrink?" she whispered.
"No, silly, this is my messenger butterfly," the butterfly said in an obvious voice.
"Oh,"
"Never mind about that, I came here because I heard your prayer and came here to pass a message," the butterfly fluttered over to the windowsill. "Decipher this. It this will help your sister a lot," the butterfly whispered and flew away.
"wait!!" Reya shouted, but the butterfly already dissipated into the air.
Clive rushed over to her and held her shoulder. She had reached out far out the window that half of her body was hanging out. He pulled her in and hugged her.
"Hey, don't be suicidal. What the hell I thought you were a strong girl," Clive said.
Reya pushed him away. "No, the butterfly. I need to ask further. How to save her," she muttered with a fanatic look. Only after then did she remember the weird symbol. She rushed over to the window sill and kneeled next to it.
It was a strange sign made up of geometric lines. "This... what is this? How can it help Milna?" she said and touched it softly. As soon as she touched the corner, it started dissipating. Swiftly she grabbed Clive's cell phone and took a photo of it before it could fully disappear.
After just seconds, it disappeared into sparkling blue dust.
"What was that?" Clive whispered as he gazed down at her. He was confused for a second. He did not understand what she was being obsessed over. He massaged her trembling shoulders and tried to calm her down. "Reya, we can definitely find a cure. Don't stress over it,"
"Noo... its Artemis... she sent me a message. She said that this sign can help my sister. But.... but I don't know what this is," Reya said holding onto his hands. She held up the small picture of the sign. "Do you know what this means,"
Clive gazed around at the mother-daughter pair not far away. "Not here. Let's talk somewhere else, Reya."
He led her over to his room and closed the door after them. "Now clearly explain what is going on,"
Reya held his hands and showed the picture again. "I was devastated, so I prayed to Artemis. Suddenly a blue butterfly flew over and drew this sign near the window. It was Artemis's messenger butterfly, it seems. She even said that this weird sign can save Mina. Clive help," she begged with tears in her eyes.
If Clive failed to devise a cure, then it would become her last hope.
Clive took a deep breath and made her sit on the couch. "Take a deep breath, breathe out. Follow my breathing okay. I don't want you panicking here,"
Reya followed his breathing and soon her turbid breathing calmed down. "Clive.... I don't know what to do," she cried, holding onto his hands.
"Don't worry I will help," he took the phone over and gazed at it. It was not some random lines; there must be some code in it.
He took it to his printer and printed it out. After which he found a magnifying glass and checked it. He saw nothing spectacular.
Reya calmed herself down by then. She rushed over to him and peered at the paper. "Did you find something?"
"No," he sadly shook his head.
Reya cried out loud. "I... I feel like I was given false hope," she sobbed into his shoulders.
Clive softly patted her back and hugged her. It must have been devastating to be given hope and for that hope to crumble again.
He gazed down at the paper and sighed. If only there were some magical words or magical numbers on it.
"Reya, I want you to try something. Your powers can you see something with it?"
"Mine is super speed.... but I'll try," Reya said. She concentrated on her powers and gazed at the paper. Suddenly few numbers appeared in the corner and the centre of the sign.
"I... I see numbers!"
