Ivy is startled awake. She doesn't recognize what startles her awake, but she is. Suddenly, she hears a scream. She quickly shoots out of bed and runs to the door, opening it, she heard the scream coming from Jacksons room. Ivy sighs, before making her way to his door. She sees April pop her head out of her own door.
"I got it. Night," Ivy tells her, gesturing for her to go back to bed.
She walks into his room and notices the sheets and blankets are all over the place and Jackson is twitching. Ivy walks over to him and gently starts shaking him, "Hey. Jackson. Come on, Jackson. You're safe. Wake up. Jackson, wake up!"
"Ahh," Jackson startles awake, tears slowly running down his face.
"Hey, I got you. You were dreaming again," Ivy shushes him, bringing him to her and cuddling.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you, but, uh, I-" Jackson cuts himself off.
Ivy shakes her head, laying down and pulling him so he's half laying on her with his head to her chest, "Its okay. Shh, just go back to sleep. I'm not leaving."
Jackson lays down and gets comfortable. They sit in silence for a moment, "Can you just... talk? Your voice is just really soothing."
"What about?"
"Anything."
Ivy thinks for a minute, "I used to sing and dance. I would be a part of musicals in middle and high school. It was something that was just mine because none of my siblings ever thought about doing something like that. But Derek... Derek never missed a performance. He used to tell me, 'Ivy, your performance and talent should be seen by everyone. So me not seeing it would be a disservice. I'll always be there.' And you know what? He never broke that promise."
"What was your favorite role?" He asks, sleepily.
"Hmm, probably Alice in . I loved that role for no particular reason, I just did. During one performance..."
And that is how they spent the night, Jackson sleeping on Ivy as she tells him stories of her childhood. She hoped to keep the nightmares away, and just her being there brought Jackson some piece of mind.

Ivy ties her sneakers as Webber addresses the residents, "I have great faith in you. I can because I chose you, I trained you. I've watched you work, I know what you can do. That's why today is different. The training wheels are coming off, people."
"Navy scrubs?" Meredith asks, barely holding back her excitement.
"Attending scrubs. You are attendings today. Run the cases, take point, but don't be a fool. If you get in over your head, cry uncle. Until then... congratulations. You've just been promoted," Webber tells them as navy scrubs are handed out.
Ivy looks at Jackson and April with the biggest smile ever. Jackson laughs as her and April squel in excitement.
Ivy quickly rushes to get changed, she can't wait to run a service. She's running Callies service today.

Ivy and April walk up, giggling, to the nurses desk and get handed their charts. Jackson and Alex walk up, Jackson showing off his attending scrubs as April and Ivy laugh at him. As Jackson, April and Alex shove each other, Ivy hears Callie ask, "Whos taking point on my cases?"
"I am Dr. Torres," Ivy says, walking towards her as her friends leave.
"Good, you ready?" Callie questions, giving her a bitch brow.
Ivy chuckles, "I've been waiting for this day since I was a preteen, I'm ready."
"Okay then, don't disappoint."

"Okay, Megan. You are recovering from a knee fracture and just needed to be checked every few hours. Please let me know if you have any questions," Ivy smiled at her patient as Callie and Lexie watch over her.
"Actually, yes..." Megan's boyfriend says.
Lexie and Callie whisper out of ear shot, "Shes doing amazing so far," Callie says.
Lexie nods, "Yeah, I mean patient care has always been her forte but I can't wait to see her in surgery taking lead."
"Yeah, I'm excited. Maybe I finally have an ortho protégé. Hmm, the hope," Callie muses.
"Alright, Megan. I will see you later" Ivy smiles, leaving the room while updating the chart.
She turns to Lexie, "Okay, can you check on her every hour or two?"
Lexie nods, "Yes, of course."
As she scurries off, Callie looks at Ivy, "Have you thought much about your specialty yet?"
Nodding and looking at the next chart, she answers, "Yeah. I'm stuck between Ortho and Trauma but maybe I'll become double board certified. I still have a little bit to decide."
"Not neuro?"
"Oh, God no. I don't want to be compared to Derek AND Amy for the rest of my life," Ivy laughs.
"True, you Shepherds grow neurosurgeons like no one else."

Ivy laughs at Jackson as he 'messes up' on another egg, "Oh, damn it."
He does it again but good thing Ivy knows better. Lexie walks in and slams the door, "Grey! You broke my concentration."
"Sorry. Um, hey, uh, post-ops look good, so if there's nothing else..." Lexie shows the clipboard.
"Oh, could you discharge 12-24? And his chart needs to be dictated."
"Its gonna have to wait until after I check on Ivys knee girl, turf the window jumper to psych, remove a June bug from some kids ear in the pit, write some meds for screaming kidney stones guy, and then deliver labs to my goiter lady," Lexie lists, causing Ivy and Jackson to look at her.
Cristina scoffs, "Stop bragging."
Lexie smiles, "I can't. I was born for this kind of day."
She leaves, clicking her pen and staring at Jackson. Ivys pager goes off, "Alright, I need to go check on some labs. Be nice to her, she's my sister-in-law. And don't be over cocky."
"You can't say things like that and then leave," Jackson jokes as she gets up.
"Perv."
Meredith and Cristina chuckle at the friends behavior, "How much do you want to bet that they eventually hookup?"
"I bet they'll get married," Meredith says.
"Hmm, cute."

Jackson dances up to Ivy, "Guess who got the surgery?"
"You hustled Meredith, didn't you?" Ivy questioned.
"Yeah. But, in the end I got the surgery so..." Jackson celebrated.
Ivy rolls her eyes, "You know, that was kinda cruel. Anyways, I'm off to surgery and I hope you have a great surgery later. Can't wait to hear all about it."
"Whats your surgery?"
"Hip replacement in a 25 year old man. I'm seriously enjoying ortho," Ivy calls over her shoulder.
"Ortho, who would have thought? Such a tiny, sweet girl, would be interested in ortho?"

Ivy throws her scrubs into the bin and grabs her bag, walking out with Jackson, "So, how was your surgery?"
"I blew it. Derek yelled at me right there in the O.R." Jackson sighs.
"Thats his job. And you aren't really interested in neuro anyway, right?" Ivy reassures.
Jackson hangs his head, "Yeah, but how am I going to get doctors to trust me if I keep blowing surgeries?"
Ivy hugs his arm, "Jacks, neuro and cardio just weren't your things. Maybe ortho, or general, or plastics. I mean, you do have the face for it."
"Are you hitting on me? Ivy Shepherd, we are in public," he jokes.
"Oh, come on. I have standards. But I'm serious. You'll find your specialty and be the amazing surgeon I know you are," Ivy forces him to look at her.
He sighs, "Okay, you're right. Lets go home so Derek can either ignore me or yell at me."
"Oo, I love that game. I used to play it all the time in high school."
"Of course you did."
