<p>I looked at Nalani, seeking permission, my eyes locking onto hers. "Do you love me?" she asked, fear etched into her eyes. <br/><br/>The answer came easily to me. "I love you, Nalani. But, deep down, he couldn't deny that he was curious about what she wanted.<br/><br/>After a few moments of pacing, Leo decided to take a shower. If she wanted to talk, she could wait. He let the hot water beat down on him, trying to calm his nerves.<br/><br/>When he finally emerged from the bathroom, he went downstairs and saw her sitting nervously on the couch. The second she saw him, she stood up. Her hesitation was apparent and it made Leo feel uneasy.<br/><br/>"What do you really want from me, Ella?" Leo asked, trying to sound calm and collected, despite his racing heart.<br/><br/>Ella took a deep breath before speaking, "I know I messed up. I shouldn't have just disappeared like that. But, I needed to figure things out on my own."<br/><br/>Leo crossed his arms over his chest, "And now? What do you want now?"<br/><br/>"I want to make things right," she said, her voice small.<br/><br/>Leo couldn't help but feel a flicker of hope at her words. But, he quickly pushed it down. He couldn't afford to get his hopes up only to be let down again.<br/><br/>"What does that even mean, Ella?" Leo asked, his tone colder than he intended.<br/><br/>"It means that I want to be with you. I never stopped loving you, Leo," she said, her eyes imploring him to believe her.<br/><br/>Leo took a step back, needing some space to think. He didn't know if he could trust her again. But, at the same time, he didn't know if he could go on living without her.<br/><br/><br/>Care to elaborate??<br/><br/>Someone was coming for my family, someone really strong, I knew how much you loved me and I didn't want you hurt so I decided to go away with my family.
