Singularity: Lord of Mysteries

Members of the Aurora Order had brutally murdered Max, a child of the age of 15. In the body of this unfortunate child, enters the memories of Samuel, a not-so-innocent person in his previous life, whose life choices finally caught up to him one day and ended up killing him. However, he is reincarnated in the world of Lord of Mysteries, a horrifyingly tragic world where humans struggle against inevitable monsters of epic proportions by gaining Beyonder powers that ultimately either end up consuming them and causing them to lose control, or become strong enough that the will or the original creator takes over their souls. In this world of steam and machinery headed towards a prophesied apocalypse, armed with a Pathway that did not exist in the fictional novel, that will either lead to his ascension or his demise, Max must strive to survive and save the world... or would he? ---------- P.S. This is my first Fan-fic so go easy on me and give me pointers. Positive criticism is welcomed. If you don't like it or the writing is terrible, Ok. Just leave and don't rub it in my face T-T Anyway, I will post chapters hopefully daily, and I hope you guys help with the creation process of the novel. compared to my other novels, I will be writing this one with no fixed story in mind, so I will depend on you guys to give me pointers on what should come next. As of now, I have only written 2 chapters and will try to write one a day and keep up the upload schedule. Note: I had read the novel quite some time ago, and I do not wish to read 1400 chapters of something I have already read. So I went to the wiki and read through the summaries, and got the just of at least the Tingen Plot. Unfortunately, I do not want our first arc to be in Tingen for obvious reasons; Adam. Also, for those thinking his pathway is super overpowered after reading the first chapter, be warned that despite this, as long as he does not reach the highest Sequence and beyond, he is still too weak to survive in this chaotic world. Also, anything powerful comes at a cost, and you will see the cost when he tries to become a Beyonder. Anyway, I hope everyone likes the story and please comment and leave a review so I know where to fix the the fan fic.

Report and Incredulous

Tom, Ashborn, Mariah, and their leader, Harry sat around a circular table with frowns on their faces. Currently, Tom had his eyes closed and was delivering a lot of information to the Primordial Unity, while Harry, was writing a letter to send to the Backlund Diocese with all the information they had been able to gather in Tingen and its surrounding towns and villages over the course of their mission.

'Primordial Unity, I pray to you after having completed my mission. Our investigating group of special nighthawks deployed from Backlund to Tingen and its surrounding areas, have been successful in understanding what exactly the entire case of the missing people and human trafficking is hiding. As it turns out, someone very important to the Kingdom of Loen is preparing for their advancement ritual of some kind, and the people will be used for that. Their ultimate fate is unknown, and where they are being held is also unknown. However, for some reason, when we reported this information to the church, they just accepted this information and closed off the entire case from being investigated any further, which is incredibly odd.'

'We also uncovered, matching what we had previously found, that something really bad is going to happen in Backlund in a few months' time. This information is currently being reported to the church by my team leader, and we will likely head back to Backlund soon. I would like to ask your permission to ask the Mister if we could get Ademisaul and his students to leave Backlund for a while and hide somewhere safe until the event finishes, as I doubt the current church will put much importance in stopping it given their reaction to the previous information we gave them.'

'However, this information has been confirmed, by mid-sequence Beyonders, to be the work of a Beyonder trying to advance to Sequence 4. Which sequence and who is involved is still unknown, but we do know that it appears to be a duo of two women Beyonders, one of them already being Sequence 4!'

After giving all the information, Tom observed that Hank was still writing away on the piece of paper, and just sighed before leaning back in his chair. He had done everything he was supposed to for the Primordial Unity, and had done everything he could to help with the investigation of the missing people.

Now, it was up to Hank and the group to accept him as a permanent member of the Nighthawks instead of the 'temporary' member he was currently. Thought, given how well everyone had gotten along through the mission, he doubted he would be rejected.

'I really hope nothing wrong happens to Ademisaul or his students,' Tom sighed once more and closed his eyes, increasing the sombreness of the atmosphere even further.

Max finally returned to Backlund and sighed in relief only after he had locked himself in one of his apartments, closed all the blinds, and created a spiritual barrier around him.

It was now time to investigate the black object that had been trying to connect with the Amalgamation of All even after the reincarnators death.

'It's quite likely to be the reincarnators soul in some sort of hibernation. Let's just be prepared to kill it if it shows any signs of going out of control or any malice.' Max nodded as he pulled out his Beyonder Sword which he had not used in quite a while, before carefully opening the cork on the vial with the object.

'Alright, moment of truth.'

Back on Independence…

Mark heaved a long breath as he finally finished the long and frankly tiring journey back to Sparta, the capital of the kingdom of Athens. Plus, he had walked incredibly briskly most of the way here instead of walking normally, which was why he was not only out of breath, but most of the muscles on his body were quite literally on fire.

'No time to waste. I must meet with the king as soon as possible and ensure he is informed about my new duties for serving the Primordial Unity.'

Mark took in a few more breaths in quick succession before continuing towards the centre of the city. His current goal was to spread the faith of Unity throughout these lands, all the while ensuring that the kingdom of Athens continued to grow and develop.

Max looked at the object in his hand with an incredulous expression.

[AN: Based on the suggestion of some readers, which I feel is rather valid, I will from now on try to limit the amount of switching between POVs. This will be especially true from now on when I want a time skip. The time will be… from now on, skipped with the current POV, before switching over to the POV I want to talk through. This will be done to maintain a better flow in the novel]
