As the ship entered the storm, Martha, Rossana, and Naro huddled together in the cabin, shielded from the elements.
The dark room provided no glimpse of sunlight, and their nerves were already on edge. Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder shook the surroundings. Martha and Naro clung to each other, their fear evident as tears welled up in their eyes.
Rossana gently caressed Martha's head, assuring her that it was just a thunderclap and that they would be okay.
Knowing the dangers that awaited them, Rossana couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. She understood the importance of their upcoming work to collect the cores of the undead and quickly dispel their curse.
It was a task that fell upon her and Naro's shoulders, they were both aware of their vulnerability. They can't just fore shook hard earn core.
Core are valuable resource for magicians as they upgrade their rank. By refining the core and absorbing the mana inside it.
The process of refining the cores was complex. These cores served as valuable resources for magicians to enhance their power and advance to higher ranks.
The refinement followed a simple five-step process. First, they needed to extract the core from the body of a deceased beast without damaging the contained mana, the essence of magical energy.
The second step involved liquefying the core by focusing its mana and manipulating it. This would make the core more receptive to mana absorption. The liquefaction process took place outside the magician's body.
The third step was refining the liquefied mana. This required the magician to purify the mana, removing any impurities and harmful substances. The refining process was time-consuming, often stretching for hours or even days, depending on the core's rank.
The liquefaction and refining processes occurred simultaneously and in parallel, ensuring the mana's purity and readiness for the next step.
The fourth step was absorption and accumulation. The magician had to absorb the refined mana, refining it further as they assimilated it.
This allowed the absorbed mana to align with their mana frequency, eliminating potential complications. The mana needed to accumulate near the core's designated position in the body. Near the heart.
Lastly, the accumulated mana was utilized in the final stage: upgrading the core. This mana infusion helped the magician break through to the next rank, enhancing their magical abilities and reaching the core of the origin.
However, dealing with undead cores posed a different challenge altogether. The extraction itself was difficult, as touching the core, even in its position within the skull, risked the curse of the undead infecting and turning them into undead creatures.
Refining and liquefying undead cores proved even more challenging. The magician couldn't directly absorb them; it required more time and caution.
If a magician had the misfortune of absorbing unrefined undead mana, their core would remain underdeveloped, disabling their ability to sense mana and potentially leading them towards becoming undead themselves
In fortunate cases where the curse was resisted, it could still result in incurable diseases.
Moreover, if untouched undead cores accumulate in one place, they could give rise to a stronger undead entity, surpassing the power of the individual cores. Such a scenario would birth a monstrous disaster.

My hand moves that has a purple marble and gulp
Crunch!
'Wow, it's incredibly tasteless.'
I just woke up from a peaceful slumber, surprisingly free from nightmares and strange dreams. Considering the circumstances, it's understandable.
Right now, I find myself trapped in a real nightmare. What could be creepier than walking skeletons and an island teeming with undead?
Reflecting on the undead, I surprisingly managed to kill a substantial amount of them, exactly 2010 in total.
I'm not sure why I kept count of the skeletons I've slain, perhaps to keep myself alert. Nevertheless, eliminating 2010 beings—albeit not human—is quite an achievement, especially on my first attempt
In the end they were skeleton.
Speaking of skeletons,
'Did I just kiss one of them? 'Disgust overwhelms me as my gag reflex kicks in. Bleagh! I vomit a substance that appears black and murky. It splashes onto the ground.
'What the hell? Did I kiss an undead creature and declare my affection for them? I must be a freak. 'Another round of vomiting, this time the black substance sprays forth.
I catch sight of the entrance to a cave, where the skeletons continue to pursue entry. I desperately need water, or perhaps even blood, but there's no water available to cleanse my mouth.
I wish that skeleton was a zombie at least. They would have had some blood that I could have used to rinse my mouth.
Then again, zombie blood is nothing but putrid flesh, infested with strange worms and filled with pus.
And once again, I can't hold it in any longer. Bleugh! Another bout of vomiting. 'Why am I expelling this black substance when I haven't eaten anything?' Wait, a sudden thought grips me. 'Why am I not experiencing any pain?'
Curiously, I place my hand on my abdomen and inspect my clothes. To my surprise, my clothing remains perfectly intact without any signs of damage.
'I've been thrust into a game of holes against countless skeletons, each bearing numerous cavities. 'Wait, what am I even saying? The bigger question lies in how my clothes remain pristine.
I vaguely recall that they are made of a mysterious material - some sort of eggshell. The first time I opened my eyes, these clothes were floating around me. Why didn't I question it or feel anything when they came into contact with my skin?
My thoughts took hold when I observed the cave, I noticed a purple marble that is consistently 4 meters away from me.
Slowly, it begins to transform into multicoloured particles, a phenomenon that leaves me bewildered.
I wonder how I am causing this and decide to close my eyes, attempting to tune around me.
To my surprise, a dark black domain forms within a 5-meter radius around me. Within this domain, the marble undergoes its transformation into multicoloured particles.
These particles gradually move towards me and are absorbed into my cloth, altering its properties.
As the particles enter my body through the cloth, they strengthen my tissues and enhance my body.
Thid field it wad Converting the marble so i can use.facinating!
The endless possibilities that arise from this realization firmly take root in my mind. I now contemplate how I can absorb the spells left behind by the magician and use them against them.
Maybe I can gradually convert their flesh into those particles, imagining the sensations they would experience and wondering if they would scream.
'Can I even absorb flesh?
However, I delve into the absorption of flesh, I begin searching my surroundings for any living creatures such as insects or rodents.
Despite my efforts, I find nothing. It is then that my attention shifts to the entrance of the cave, where an endless number of skeletons reside.
Without hesitation, I jump and move closer to them, hoping to find any trace of flesh. As I approach, the skeletons become impatient, sensing my presence, and clash their heads with the entrance in a futile attempt to reach me.
I scrutinize the skeletons closely, but they lack any shred of flesh. A sigh escapes my lips as I shake my head in dissatisfaction. The desire to experiment and find answers still burns within me, but it seems that the skeletons offer no opportunity for my current objectives
I sighed, shaking my head in dissatisfaction. I placed my hand on my forehead, massaging it, when suddenly my gaze fixed on my hand.
'Wait!' I exclaimed.
'My hand! Yes, my hand! I have flesh I can test!'A daring thought crossed my mind.
'But first, I have to cut it,' I affirmed.
'Yes, I can just cut my hand and find the answers I seek.'
'Anything for the sake of experimentation!'
