Chapter 10 Dai Mubai
Su Xiao wandered through Soutuo City and finally managed to find a restaurant willing to accommodate Xiao Bai, though it cost him a hefty sum.
After filling their stomachs, Su Xiao made his way to the hotel Tang San had marked. Upon entering the lobby, he noticed a blond youth with an arrogant demeanor, flanked by two girls, berating the hotel staff.
"Master Dai, you're here! Haha, I'll arrange a room for you!" the manager said, forcing a smile as he tried to placate the youth. Turning to his staff, he snapped, "Don't you know this room is always reserved for Master Dai?"
The blond youth's expression grew cold. "Stop wasting my time. I want my original room," he demanded.
The manager nervously flipped through his records, maintaining a strained smile. "Master Dai, the room is currently occupied. However, we have better rooms available. Would you like to—"
"Do I look like I'm short on money?" the youth interrupted sharply, slamming his hands on the front desk. "Who's the idiot that took my room?"
The new employee nearby hesitated before whispering, "His name is Su Xiao."
The blond youth sneered. "Is he still in the room?"
"No," came a calm voice from behind. "He's standing right here."
Dai Mubai turned to see Su Xiao, who stood confidently before him. "So, you're the guy who stole my room?"
"Watch your words," Su Xiao replied evenly, his tone carrying a warning. "Or you'll regret it."
Dai Mubai smirked and suddenly charged at Su Xiao. "Let's see how tough you really are!"
Su Xiao had already recognized Dai Mubai by his distinctive eyes. Hearing his challenge, Su Xiao decided it was a good opportunity to test his skills.
Dai Mubai's right fist shot forward like a cannonball, carrying tremendous force aimed directly at Su Xiao's chest. His speed and power were overwhelming, drawing gasps from the onlookers.
But Su Xiao stood firm, his stance unshaken. His hands glowed with a crystalline milky white light—the Mysterious Jade Hand, one of the six techniques in the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Records.
With calm precision, Su Xiao raised his glowing palms and overlapped them to intercept the strike.
Bang!
The impact shook the lobby. Despite the explosive force, Su Xiao didn't falter. Where others might have had their arms shattered, he stood unscathed. His arms didn't waver, a feat that surprised Dai Mubai.
"What kind of training is this kid doing?" Dai Mubai muttered, retracting his fist. "Even his palms feel like steel."
The secret lay in Su Xiao's Controlling Crane, Capturing Dragon technique, which dispersed most of the force into the ground. The wooden floor beneath him bore deep cracks, evidence of the punch's sheer power.
Dai Mubai's expression grew more serious. "Impressive. Let's make this fight official. But let's raise the stakes—a hundred gold coins sound fair?"
Su Xiao nodded. "Why not?."
Dai Mubai smirked confidently as pale light radiated from his body. A white tiger's shadow appeared behind him, and three soul rings rose—two hundred-year rings and one thousand-year ring. His hair turned primarily white, with streaks of black, and a mark resembling the character "王" appeared on his forehead.
"Dai Mubai, Martial Soul: White Tiger, thirty-seventh level Assault Soul Master. Let's see what you've got!"
As Dai Mubai transformed, his domineering presence filled the room, intimidating the onlookers. However, when Su Xiao summoned his Martial Soul, a flicker of panic crossed Dai Mubai's face.
As Su Xiao's martial soul activated, the Light Holy Dragon manifested behind him. The purity and brilliance of its light contrasted sharply with Dai Mubai's ferocity, creating an awe-inspiring scene. For a brief moment, the confidence in Dai Mubai's eyes wavered, betraying a hint of unease.
This is actually much better than I thought.
