The Phone

Otsuki sat at home and she looked at the phone in a special box. She smiled and opened the box then took out the phone. She took out her old phone and began putting in the numbers from her phone to the new one and giggled. She looked at her old phone and decided to keep it.

"He will be mine...I have to have him..." Otsuki giggled and went to her home screen then clicked on the notes application. "I need little to no distractions...who shall I rid of first..?"

"Otsuki! Dinner's ready!" Tsubami called from downstairs.

Otsuki looked up and sighed. She calmed down then put the phone in her pocket and walked out of her room and downstairs. She was still thinking about her first target. She weighed all the options then came to a definite conclusion. She smirked and knew who she was going to target. She was gonna target one of her own friends. She walked in the kitchen and saw that I was at the table talking to Tsubami about the news. I was a bit destroyed and held my head.

"Why...? Who would kill them like that..?" I gripped my hair and looked down.

"I don't know...but whoever did that is sick in the head. I'm glad my sister isn't around for these incidents.." Tsubami said.

"Senpai?" Otsuki looked at me.

"Hm..?" I looked up and waved. "Hey Otsuki.."

"What's the matter you look a bit stressed.." Otsuki walked and sat beside me.

"Didn't you hear..? Satori and Reiko were killed yesterday...Murdered in the most insane way. No one knows who the killer is and they filed Satori's death as a suicide because his finger prints were on the knife. They probably filed the incident as a murder suicide..." I said.

"Oh yeah I heard about that...I was near the area, but I didn't see anyone who stood out." Otsuki said. "I just hope things get better.."

I nodded and felt her hand touch mine. Her hand was warm and soft. I closed my eyes and looked away. She looked at me and tilted her head.

"What's wrong Senpai..?" Otsuki asked.

"I just can't focus...Satori was a good friend to me. Just thinking about him makes me upset." I said.

"Well let's try to get our minds off it." Otsuki said.

"You don't sound too phased by it Otsuki." Tsubami said.

"Well I am a bit worried, but I know when we're together, we are safe." Otsuki said. "Like I said, I'll keep Motosaki safe no matter what."

Tsubami ate her food and closed her eyes. She was wary of Otsuki's change and kept a close eye on her. I looked at Otsuki and she looked at me then smiled softly. We began eating dinner and I spent the night at their house.

The next day I woke up and felt someone roll over. I looked to my left and saw Otsuki in the bed with me. I looked at her and noticed how peaceful she looked. She turned her head and snored quietly. I brushed her hair from her eyes and she scrunched her eyes a bit and swiped her hand in front of her face and turned her head. I smiled a bit and kept laying down. Otsuki may have been clinging to me a bit more often, but she looked peaceful right now. I got a message from Naomi and it was in all caps.

Naomi: PLEASE HELP ME, PLEASE!! I CAN'T CONTROL MY BODY, IT'S MOVING ON IT'S OWN!! Please I'm so scared...

"What the..?" I sat up as she sent me a picture of the top floor. I got out of bed and ran out the door. "Naomi what the fuck are you doing..?!"

Otsuki opened her eyes slowly. She smirked and sat up with her hair covering her eyes.

"You won't make it in time...Senpai...Kiss Naomi goodbye.." Otsuki said.

I took the train towards Naomi's location by using an app that tracks where the message was sent from. I got off the train as it stopped and searched for the building then saw people looking at a roof and gasping. I ran towards and as I got closer I saw Naomi on the roof.

"Please stop, I don't want to jump!" Naomi cried and looked scared. "Why can't I control my actions?!"

I pushed my way through the crowd and saw her jump off the roof to her doom. I ran as fast as I could and people looked at me then as she neared the ground, by some miracle, I caught her. I felt her body shaking and I looked at her. I panted and she slowly opened her eyes. She was about to kill herself and by the way she spoke...it was against her will. She looked at me and hugged me tightly and cried softly.

"He saved her.." A woman said.

"He's a hero.." A man said and began recording.

I heard police sirens and looked around then saw the police walk towards us. The crowd slowly dispersed and I looked at the police. They took us in the car then drove us towards the police station. They sat us in the interrogation room and we waited for an officer to walk in. I was holding her hand and she was sniffling and wiped her eyes. A police officer walked in the room.

"Hello Ms. Moji...Mr. Izuna. How are you feeling?" The male asked.

"I don't know...I-I just want to know why I was doing the things I was. It felt like I wasn't even in my own body." Naomi said.

"Yes, I heard all about it..." The male sat down.

"Go easy on her.." I said. "I know it's hard to believe, but I heard her on the roof saying she didn't want to do it...as if someone was making her do it."

"Your hearing is quite impeccable Mr. Izuna...We printed out the messages from Ms. Moji's phone. She got a text from a person named Shokyo." The male looked at us. "Unfortunately we are able to track the location of the sender...but we are for certain that this Shokyo person is the murderer we are looking for."

"Shokyo...The one who murdered Satori and Reiko.." I said.

"The message reads as this: You will walk to the roof of whatever building you're on then jump off and kill yourself. If you don't die then use the sharpest object closest to you and stab yourself until you die." The male looked up then noticed me trying to stop Naomi from killing herself.

"Naomi...stop it..!" I took the pocket knife away from her and set it on the table then pinned her on the floor.

"Why..? Why is it happening to me..?!" Naomi cried a bit. "My body won't stop until I've done what was asked of me..!"

I looked at Naomi. This Shokyo person has the ability to control someone's actions and gain full control over their target. Why would they target Naomi of all people? What grudge do they have against people I'm close to..? I tried to piece the puzzle together, but I was so focused on stopping Naomi. Eventually her body stopped reaching for the pocket knife and gave up. It was like her curse was over and done with. Naomi sniffled and panted then I got off her. The officer took the knife away and closed her eyes.

"Do you have any idea who Shokyo might be?" The officer asked.

"I might have a clue.." I said and moved my hair from my eyes then helped Naomi up. "It may be someone from my school."

They both looked at me. It isn't too far off. What killer would deliberately go out their way to personally target people I'm close to or were in contact with? Satori, Reiko, and now Naomi..plus Reiko's been targeted twice. I'm for certain that the killer is someone from the school...They have to be someone from school.
