His mom is dead

"Oh! Um Mr Greene I wasn't doing anything"

Tiana felt really embarrassed, she lowered her face to hide her embarrassment. She has always been good at feeling people's presence which made it hard for people to sneak up on her but just now she couldn't feel his presence.

"Joanne!", Pablo called.

A few seconds after Pablo called her Joanne came walking into the room she was shocked to see a young and beautiful lady standing there, although she was curious she knew very well not to ask. She has been with Pablo ever since his parents died. She was hired by old man Greene and ever since then she has treated Pablo like her own son. So she knew this lady had to be special seeing her in front of Pablo and not feeling that disgusted aura coming from him.

"Young master you called"

"Show the young lady to her room and prepare her for dinner"

"Yes sir, Please follow me young miss"

Tiana didn't say anything but she just followed her. Joanne was a middle aged woman probably in her early fifties but she was still strikingly beautiful. Her hair was tied up into a bun neatly and her clothes was actually different from any nanny's clothes she's seen. Tiana's thoughts were interrupted by Joannes voice ad they entered the elevator.

"Watch your step young miss we wouldn't want you to fall"

Tiana just smiled at her. The ground floor was amazing but Tiana never expected that to be just the beginning, going up with the glass elevator she could see everything.

The house was really big, it was a six story building but it had to that fancy feeling each floor was another level of beauty but the only thing she noticed that was actually the same was the fact that there were a lot of windows. "Your boss sure loves windows", Tiana said. Joanne couldn't help but smile at her comment. "This house was actually my late Madame's description of a perfect house, my Madame always loved the view from a high place so when Pablo built in this community he built his house just like his mom wanted it.

Tiana was surprised. "His mom is dead, well I guess that's one thing we have in common".

Tiana's room was in the highest floor next to Pablo's room, the sixth floor wasn't like the others she saw instead it was dark and very quiet, there were windows for sure. But they were covered with thick and heavy curtains blocking all the lights out. Large pictures hanged up on the wall and there were a lot of sculptures but Tiana couldn't help but feel sad walking through this large and dark hallway.

"Umm.... Joanne why is this hall dark"

"Young miss I don't think that question should be directed to me"

"He shouldn't sleep in a place this dark it's scary I bet all the ladies who came before me were so scared"

Joanne smiled at the young lady "you have quite a sense of humor, but you know your actually the first lady to make it here"

Tiana stopped and stared at her like she was crazy, "that's not possible", Tiana argued.

"Actually it is"

"...."

"A few hours ago Pablo told me to prepare a room for the arrival of a young lady, so I went to the third floor and was preparing the usual room that Pablo uses. When he came in and told me he wants the room next to him. I was shocked my dear, it took me a few minutes to recover because no one sleeps with him in the same hall. It's almost like a forbidden rule, at that moment I knew you had to be special I couldn't wait to see you. And when I did I was dumbstruck you looked so delicate and different from all the other girls Pablo usually brings".

Tiana was speechless, why would I be different, Tiana thought.

Joanne walked towards the third door In the hallway and opened it. The room was spacious and grand it was like a masters bedroom. It had a mini parlor with a cushion and a fridge at the corner. Never in a million years did she ever imagine that she would be living in a place like this

"Umm! Are you sure this is the right room?"

"I'm sure, dinner will be ready in a few minutes if there's anything you need don't hesitate to ask"

"Thank you"

Joanne was a little surprised but she regained her composure in a few seconds. "Never has any girl the master brought thanked me before, well this is new. I wonder how much the master likes her for her to be brought to the west wing, Joanne thought.

"I'll get going now, the bath is already prepared" After saying that Joanne left her alone.

Tiana turned to face the big empty bedroom and she sighed.
