Chapter 2: Downstairs
Mia just went ahead without even thinking now she's stuck with looking for another part time job or just go home and continue doing his current project.
"Aren't you Mia? The female member of Luna?" She was shocked. It was almost 5 years since she went out to the public as member of that group. To think that they weren't even famous at that time.
"Nope. You got the wrong person" she respectfully declined the statement. "No. it is really you! I'm a fan!" Now what to do? Mia just went on and walk until the man leave her alone.
"I'll just head home..." She rode the bus and put on her in ears. She is listening to 'their' songs. Luna...
They are a group of 5. They started off as a band way back in middle school they would just play in Max' cousin's restobar where they were cast in an agency and debut as a group.
"Those were the fun days" she thought to herself. Mia is not the type of person to dwell on fame and stuffs. She just doesn't see the benefit of being famous. All of them actually.
Max, Ian and Mia came from an average earning family while Terrence and Faux are really rich. They were just a bunch of happy go luck kids that didn't know what they want... Especially her.
She pressed the button and got off in the next bus station. She felt her stomach grumble. She is hungry.
Mia just entered her regular spot for lunch. Looking at her wallet she realized something. She's screwed. Her job at the convenience store supposed to pay her next week and she only got enough money for 5 days. "I need to get a job".
"What's with the long face?" Aunt Rise asked her while serving her lunch
"Can I work here?" She looked at Aunt Rise with such pleading puppy eyes
"Why do you keep doing such trivial stuffs? You are an engineer for Pete's sake. Just get a proper job will you?!" Yup. She is an engineer. A sound engineer at that.
Mia didn't say anything after that... She just ate her lunch while raking her brains out on how she will survive on what she have while she's jobless...
That thought reach out until she reach her house. "Young girl" Her landlady called her. She's not a girl nor young. She's 26 already.
Mia just faced her landlady without saying anything. She doesn't speak much in the last 4 years in particular. Some of her neighbors actually think that she's mute.
"Someone already rented out the rooms downstairs. I just like to remind you to be careful especially at night. No more loud music or noises" She nodded. She'll just wear her headphones. "And please smile already" then the landlady just went on her way.
For the past 4 years that she is staying here this will the first time that the room downstairs will be occupied. There is something nasty that happened to those rooms according to the person occupying the room next to her.
She just shrugged and went inside her room, changed and turned on her computer and gears. She'll just continue working on her current project and try to sell it off. She might as well earn a little to stretch her budget. "Let's finish this damn song".
Mia sat down in front of her computer and synthesizer and start to drown with her own music for the rest of the day. Still thinking who the hell is renting the first floor rooms.
