The next day, Alzid and I went to school together. He's been taking care of me, and I couldn't ask for more from him. He even cooked breakfast and prepared our lunch. I feel so lucky to have him; it's like he was given to me by God—a person who will take care of me, accept me, and want to be with me forever, something I am truly grateful for.
When we arrived in the classroom, the class hadn't started yet, and our professor wasn't there. I wanted to let go of Alzid's hand, but he held on even tighter, and I could clearly see how our classmates were staring at our hands, still clasped together.
"OMG, are they together now?"
"This Laine is really something, so flirty. She even managed to make the new transfer student her boyfriend."
"Correct, what else can you expect from someone like her? I think she even dated the school guard. Ugh, so flirty."
I could hear our classmates whispering, and I just bowed my head.
