Shatter the Bad Ending!

[Restore The Crown] This was the novel that I was tasked to review as a contestant for our yearly webnovel event and as someone who had to probably read hundreds of novels by now. It was utter garbage, it was full of overdone tropes and cliches that you could have seen from a mile away. A bland and mary sue protagonist ✓ A list of heroines who fall in love and become obsessed with the protagonist instantly ✓ A myriad of villains who have no other personality other than to hate and try to kill the protagonist ✓ They were all there. Except for the surprisingly catchy title, there was no other positive thing about this novel. But was pissed me off the most was the ending. With no build-up and seemingly out of nowhere, most of the heroines were killed and the world that they lived in became hell on earth. It was literally revealed in a couple of chapters and was clearly done just to shock the readers. Honestly, I wish I could restore the time I wasted reading this novel. But as I said my criticism to the author. The f*cker shot me in the head! (I proofread my chapters by myself, sadly I am only human, so if you find any mistakes, kindly point them out and I will fix them as soon as possible) (This is my first attempt at writing novels, to those who keep on reading despite the occasional mistakes here and there, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will promise to be a better author, anyways have a nice day and please never build galeforce on twitch, if you do, you don't deserve 8 hours of sleep, that is all, thank you)

Slumbering Sword (2)

I watched from afar,

Millia was shaking like a kitten lost from her mother.

The sun was slowly dimming from the sky.

I stood up from my seat after finishing my lunch.

Soon, with soundless steps, I walked towards the cathedral.

As I watched it from a distance, they were many guards at the entrance and the balconies.

They were yawning and some were outright sleeping.

Everyone was carefree, not a single one knew what would occur tonight.

I sat on a bench beside, my faint existence made no one bat an eye.

The area was now illuminated by the lamplights, as students slowly disappeared from my sight.

Night was finally here,

I waited patiently and kept gazing at the guards.

Nothing seemed off about them,

I wonder how long would this tak-

"Hey there student, what are you doing out here in the dead of night?"

A voice suddenly snapped me out of my thoughts,

As I look to my side.

A huge man with green hair stood before me, muscles bulging from his clothes, and his right shoulder ended on a stump.

I instantly stood from the bench and bowed to show respect.

"M-Mr. Braum!,"

The president of the entire academy, of all the places he could have been, why the f*ck is he here!?

He uttered a small chuckle,

"Raise your head, no need to be overly courteous,"

As I look through his orange eyes,

Countless thoughts were ringing in my mind.

How was he able to notice me?

Did my skill not work?

Did I not activate my skill?

But first I needed to make an excuse.

"Ah, sir, I was just going on a stroll to clear my head,"

"Hmmm, well, you better head back before 9, there's a curfew you know?"

"I'll keep that in mind, sir!"

He soon walked, as his figure got smaller in the distance.

My heart was beating rapidly,

I hurriedly checked my status to see if my [Discreet Steps] was active.

And to my surprise it was.

Which only means,

He was able to see through my skill.

Sh*t, this is bad.

After this event tonight he will definitely ask me some questions later on.

Ah, screw it, let the future me handle it.

I sat back on the bench and waited once again.

The night was growing darker, there were no other students except me near the church.

And then I heard it,

*THUMP* *THUMP* *THUMP*

The sounds of bodies falling to the floor,

The guards who were patrolling and protecting the church passed out.

It's time,

I stood up from the bench, a mile away from the cathedral.

Soon I started walking, the concrete floor lay silent.

[Mirage]

In a flash, I was up on the balcony of the cathedral.

From above, I could clearly see the greatsword in chains, the barrier around it was in pieces.

Yet no matter how much it shook and wiggled.

The shackles would not budge off from its blade.

From out of my silhouette, 3 crows were born.

I ordered them to keep watch around the church.

Millia was definitely on her way now.

While Reynold has to have felt the faint aura this sword was now giving, but I just have to trust the novel.

Because currently, no matter how hard I try, I could not feel any ounce of aura from the sword.

*CHIRP* *CHIRP*

As Mcfly flew he said a girl was walking slowly from the distance.

It was probably Millia,

As I turn my head, I could see a girl with black hair and brown eyes.

She looked dazed and confused as she walked, her tail didn't wag or move instead it merely scratched against the concrete floor.

She then walked past the countless guards who passed on the ground.

And shortly after she was now inside.

Amidst the thousands of wooden benches, she slowly made her way through the red carpet in the middle.

And at the end, a greatsword of blood was hanged in chains.

Okay, Millia is here, the guards have passed out, and the demon is now there.

Where the f*ck is our protagonist?

From the novel, Reynold would run inside the cathedral as he felt the faint aura the sword was giving.

But there was no sign of him,

I-I just have to wait,

Trust in the novel, Troi, and be patient.

Any minute now,

Any minute now,

ANY MINUTE NOW,

Reynold?

It's your time to shine, Reynold.

Okay, this is a bit alarming.

Maggie, can you patrol around the academy to find Reynold?

*CHIRP*

She soon flew,

Millia was still walking slowly toward the sword.

With each step she took, the cursed blade shook violently.

It was full of anticipation like a beast finally eating after hibernation.

*CHIRP* *CHIRP*

You found him?

*CHIRP*

Maggie soon showed me through her eyes where Reynold was,

My jaw reached the f*cking floor.

THIS F*CKER WAS CURRENTLY FLIRTING WITH XAYAH.

SH*T!

Because Xayah wasn't currently holed up inside her room, she would definitely ask Reynold to hang out with her.

AH SH*T SH*T!

I DIDN'T THINK OF THIS!

Cotton, keep an eye out on Millia, tell me if she's getting close to the sword.

*CHIRP*

I hurriedly blinked out of the balcony.

And like my life depended on it, ran with all of my might toward the student lounge.
